john paul giancarlo Ah i see I have subbed to jpgreel also, I will work through the tutorials you have posted on the Autodesk World channel, thanks a lot!
I am very interested in using Bifrost to create a giant whirlpool in the ocean, like the one in Pirates of the Caribbean. Could you do a tutorial on this topic?? The water needs to spin more rapidly as it goes down, not just flow straight down like in other simulations. Any help would be appreciated.
Looks like this option was introduced with 2018, on earlier versions you can do this via scripting (MEL): - Select the emitterProps node, and go to the frist frame you want to key, - Execute the following: "setKeyframe -v 1 -at bifrostContinuousEmission;" (This sets it to true), - Go to the second key, then execute this "setKeyframe -v 0 -at bifrostContinuousEmission;" (to turn it off).
can we really thınk of bifrost Aero as substant for maya Fluid?? well i don't think so.. but as i noticed recently Autodesk not working any more on developing the fluid but working very hard on Bifrost .... so what do you think?? will aero replace fluid someday?
So what is up with the key frame issue with continuous emission? I looked it up and it may be different from version to version. The suggestion from the Maya official website says to key it the channel box but there isn't any option for emission!
great John, I'm looking after part 2 .
thanks
Hello. Great tutorial! Did you ever create part 2 where you do the shading?

Video cuts off 5:53 and then you randomly have particles =/ what did you do to change to particles
can you like.. make a tutorial on the biofrost aero maya 2018..? this was helpful but like.. there are so many feats..
Agreed where is part 2?
I can´t seem to animate the continuous Emission tab. It only enables me the option to lock or unlock the attribute.
you should be able to right click then choose set key. This worked for me in Maya 2018.2

impressive !
what did u do at 6:04?
Right click on time slider > Playback speed > Play every frame max realtime
If you see my comments, how do I make at 6:04??
i don't see the fluid particles ? it doesn't display and the box doesn't move neither. ?
excellent!
there was a step that just went without explanation right at the end, from doing the scratch cache to suddenly having a video of it?
Dude thanks!
how to make the animation start from frame 50 with expression???

there isn't an issue. It works fine for Maya 2018.2 maybe reset your prefs?
Nice..then how to render?
So can i use arnold to render this?
Will there be a part 2?
When you do the shading part ???? thx
Can we see how to shade this? ideally using VRay please :) great tutorial
