    Classic core philosophy running through this channel in all its iterations from Simple Programmer through to John Somnez channel and on to Bulldog Mindset - namely move your perspective from the victim mindset to the victor mindset by reframing your mentality from a position of weakness and lack of control to a position of strength and being in control. Love how that message has underpinned the videos since the early days of the channel and is still head-lining strong. Keep the good work, John 🙏🏼👍🏼

    To suggest that mental illness isn’t real(now he may say that he didn’t actually say that) but he is basically painting that picture-“to not use it as an excuse, don’t be lazy, just get up and go”. In some cases that’s like telling someone with an untreated broken leg to get up and go with no support. What if someone has a chemical imbalance that creates clinical depression or panic attacks that are uncontrollable: devastating chest pressure, struggling to breathe, sweating profusely. turning pale, legs wobbly-those types of things? Is that an excuse? Or is that a reality of a chemical imbalance that needs to be treated. The pseudo sophistication and ignorance in this video is dumbfounding.

    Great Advice ❤ I agree with NO LABELS when it comes to Mental & Emotional situations. I knew a woman who was born & had to be put in an incubator. Her whole life she blamed on being an Incubator Baby....She was 52 years old. Just take the cards you're dealt & make the MOST out of them...and give NO FKs what others think. Others JUDGE. Just do your thing & be your BEST SELF. 💘

    This is going to sound like an excuse but I have a narc family that shits and unloads their insecurity and anger on me.. nitpicks me and my weight and shit like that..I’ve been using that as an excuse to victimize myself but now I’m putting full fledge effort into unlearning being a victim even with the cards stacked against me in an unfair way..it’s a shitty and painful realization of how much of a loser ive been acting in a retaliation against them but it’s futile and I’m screwing my self over in the end

    I thought I had ADHD. After suffering for 40 years, I learned I have severe sleep apnea. Got on CPAP - problem solved. I’ve had issues with exhaustion since childhood.
    My smart watch told me I wasn’t getting sleep - especially no REM. Did a sleep study and problem solved for the most part.
    The body is a machine and if there is an issue with the machine you’ll suffer.

      The only thing is what about fluctuations in your brain causing ups and downs with bipolar disorder..I get what you’re saying but is bipolar a mindset or a chemical imbalance governing your actions? This probably makes no sense

    • @musicandpoetry_8
      @musicandpoetry_8 Год назад

      I feel like you get what I’m saying though..it’s hard because I’ve seen people ruin their lives with bipolar: impulses with promiscuous sex, gambling, buying things you can’t afford and maxing out all your credit cards until you’re broke, etc

    • @musicandpoetry_8
      @musicandpoetry_8 Год назад

      Drinking, drugging, etc..I just don’t know..I have bipolar disorder and I’ll feel switches in my brain that make me go all over the place that feel out of my control..it’s so hard to distinguish if it’s chemical or am I not controlling my brain

    I get what you’re saying..a lot of a victim mindset is learned behavior from a parent (making a statement here, not an excuse) but you know? People have to unlearn this mindset when they’re balls to the wall and in deep shit (Me right now) fucking sucks

    8:59 That logic doesn’t make sense, because what if someone snuck up behind you and knocked you out, did you really allow it?

    • @tomasbritt4444
      @tomasbritt4444 3 года назад

      You allowed it by not being aware in that situation...it's a choice to be aware or not...there are usually signs that hint at something happening before it happens

      @@tomasbritt4444 Just an example but a better one is I’d say is a burglar sneaks in while you’re asleep or something and they get away without making a scene or noise, and when you wake up you notice stuff is missing.
