- Working on this 2012 Ford Mustang with a check engine light, car is stalling, running poorly and a strong smell of gasoline from the exhaust. Im going to walk you through how to diagnose and repair this issue.

Got a ford flex. Started misfiring on cyclinder 5. It started doing it for a few weeks now on and off. Thought ok plugs are pretty old and probably has a bad coil, Nope! Dead injector. It's not clicking. Doing this job this weekend, Can't wait! SO MUCH DAMN FUN!
I love the “extra” info(example:changing the oil after to make sure there’s no contamination) no on really mentions the important details necessary for longevity after replacing/fixing parts.
Female here. And I'm having similiar issues with my 2007 Suzuki swift aka Chevy aveo. I know nothing about cars but find myself researching from time to time, and came across your very informative video. Good job. Anywhoo...All 4 fuel injectors should be here in a few days. Yay. My car will NOT start without quick start and even then after a certain amount of km it starts stalling. Hubby changed the throttle body. Wasn't it. Changed the spark plugs. Wasn't it. 1 of the fuel sensors had a hole so I meticulously fixed it with sm pieces of tape and glue (without touching the mother board), but that wasn't it. So now we're gonna try the fuel injectors. And new sensors on its way even though the one I fixed works. MY CAR HATES THE COLD. RANT DONE. Just wanna say that your video rocked. I loved it and found to be very informative . I'm also gonna take out the spark plugs to see if there's a cleaner one more than the others. Subscribing rn.
Good work brother ,i just subscribed to your channel .the very last time i had anyone put hands in my rides ,when i was 20 years old my second car didn"t know much about electrical at the time and the guy took about 1 hour car was ready my dad went with me and of course you hear the i took care of you and fixed couple of issus speech and when asked to show work it was atitude time lol my dad payed $275 .we looked our self's and found burned wire and was cut and piece added,i was glade it was fixed but down the line it cast me the car ,wire caught fire and took the car with it.find the problem,look for the cause ,fix,check ,double check.16 years later i and no one ever put hands in my rides again .You given me a good sense of respect for the future mechanics that are not all the same .you are an natural and it shows .keep it 100% and my brother you will be on top.Thank You

Its funny how only injector 6 was bad but still was causing so many misfires in different cylinders.
Had the same problem on a 1992 chevy cavalier. Customer complaint was extended crank - hard start.4 new injectors later and it fires in first key. fuel pressure was bleeding off when it sat. i imagine it was getting cylinder wash as well. I am curious why the other two cylinders were showing misfires. 16:30 the cat was none too happy!

Good video I probably have the same problem with my bmw cuz keeps showing misfire on 4,5,6 cylinders I put new spark plugs and coils I better check the oxygen sensors and fuel injectors good work homie 👍

You really showed me what my problem is on my 1991 Nissan Pathfinder with a 3.0 V6 engine. It's a lot of work, but I think I can fix it myself. I wish my 1991 had an OBD 2. My Pathfinder only has an OBD 1 and the only information I was able to get was that my problem was in the "Injection Circuit". I can't imagine what a shop would charge to fix my car. What does your garage charge to do this repair?

I am 100 percent sure its my fuel injector. I am a female with feel little knowledge about cars but like educate myself as a single mom and save money in this high inflation time
I have a camry and can easily see the fuel injector bank and can unlatch and remove. I know to order oem parts. My concern is what should be done prior to removing bank as far as fuel pressure and before starting car aftwr replaced. Please help! I can do this and save money i actaully need for my 3 kids.

that only tells you that Electrical signal to open and close the injector is sent from the ECU , does not mean the injector is opening and closing because that is a mechanical process not electrical . It can be stuck and not move at all and you will still have same reading .
When im doing my car , i dont use scanners at all , i hear everything that i need to hear .
I am not sure that fuel can damage Lamda probe , its not an oxygen sensor , its oxygen comparator , and its called Lamda proble .
The Pintle Hump on the waveform shows the opening and closing of the injector (mechanical movement) an injector that doesn’t open and close will not have that hump. 📉
@@HomieHektor that is a solenoid signal , or a signal sent to solenoid , you can remove solenoid and you will still get it , let alone injector .
Its just the Computer telling you what signal its sending , thats it .
And you dont need computer for that , just a metal rod ,place it on injector you hear everything .
Make an amplifier like device , jesus chist you have a scanning tool .
Thats how i do it .
Why , i spent 2000$ at repair show , and they diidnt fix the issue , so i fix it my self , last time wheel clock drive went off, i came in said wheel clock drive is bad , let me connect my scanner said the mechanic , 15 minutes later , yeah your clock drive is bad . Told ya .
You can hear mostly everything , at least i can .
But mechanics love their fancy tools , the more expensive the tool the better the mechanic .
Let me tell you about Scotty Kilmer , find his video about Car Battery Booster , he even gave it away to his dumb ass subs .
That thing used 2 times on your battery , say good by battery .
But he doesn't know that , hes smart scanner didn't tell him that shocking a battery with 30A , can and will damage it .Can even damage the car it self .
And he recommends it , 50 years a mechanic , a dumb ass mechanic acting smart with his tools .
No tools needed , only ear and a wrench .
One of these days i tell you ,mechanics will use OBD for flat tiers , mark my words .

Hector - great video man great explanation probably the best any mechanic has explained in my opinion, I have a 06 dodge magnum , 2.7 , 😅, won’t start unless I press the gas all the way down , and shuts off immediately when I release the gas pedal , also will start up fine when unhooking an intake manifold hose from the pcv or popping map sensor out , allowing engine to get more air, I’m assuming since it’s fuel injected the holding of the gas pedal is cutting the fuel , clearing the flooded cylinders if indeed my injectors are leaking ? And unhooking the hose or sensor allows it to run because it’s allowing more air to be introduced ?
Could it be that I have some leaky injectors ? The cylinders were scoped and they areeee pretty clean ? Is this the term washing the cylinder? And do you think my issue is leaking injectors possibly more than one as I doubt they’ve ever been replaced

So my car started shaking during idle and while at stops signs/lights. Check engine light has been on and flashes. We got the code read and it read a P0304. It said cylinder 4 was misfiring and the most likely cause was the fuel injector. Everybody we talked to said they were certain it was just the spark plug, so we replaced them all. The problem was still ongoing. Then they said it MUST be the coil. I just replaced the coil on cylinder 4 this morning and the problem is still ongoing. I now have to find someone to try the fuel injector. The weird part is that the problem is intermittent. It will ALWAYS shake during a cold start but after driving for 10-15 minutes or even just sitting with it parked while running for the same amount of time, it will stop shaking and drive normally. I don't understand how it could be intermittent like that. Also, while it's shaking, the AC will blow hot and cold off and on. It will be warm for like 20 seconds and then cold for 20 seconds back and forth. But everybody says if it's AC-related the code reader would have certainly picked that code up as well. So I'm at a loss. If you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated. No fuel leaks from what I can tell and no smoking from the tailpipes. It's a 2015 V6 Mustang, by the way.

Not all diagnosis should be performed with a scan tool.Running an engine with raw fuel coming out of the tail pipe,really dude?I would have put a fuel pressure gauge on the rail,t disconnected the Injectors urned the key and watched the fuel pressure 'dive'.

what is the right lube to use on the injector 0 rings?
Don't forget to change the oil and filter.
Nice work, I think I’ve got a dead injector on my firebird, runs rough and it stalls. OBD2 says misfire on cylinder 6, I replaced the plug and wire and coil packs and still same problem so must be a bad injector.
Get it fixed?

Hector I have a 1996 coachman 38' motorhome with a Ford 460 and a Eo40D transmission. It's not letting me in, on the ECM. I have a good Scanner OBD 1& 2 it has power to it, But won't scan or power up.. The coach didn't have a Check Engine light on, but it took me a while to find out that it needs a fuel pump & pressure Regulator..I have been testing it out for bad injectors. I have three bad, and I will replace.
I'm just not sure what is going on with the computer??? Any suggestions on this I would appreciate it.

I have a 2005 gmc sierra 1500 5.3 crew cab it jerks on the road stalls on the lights or stops ✋ I turned it off and started... I replaced the MAF SENSOR AND replaced the throttle body and sensor still have the problem, I checked the fuel pump and relays and pressure.. can you help,

What type of code reader is this, where can it be purchased, and how much is it? Trying to figure out if our 2013 Cruze has bad injectors. Hubs looked at them and changed one out but can’t tell by looking at an injector if it’s bad or not.
Breann Payne this is a “high end” scanner it will run you a couple grand. What’s going on with the Cruze that makes you think it has bad injectors.?
Homie Hektor it’s shooting out a 171 code, slight rough idle, air hissing sound now. And it lacks some power when accelerating. He replaced one of the injectors, still same issue. He can’t tell how the injectors are bad or not
