@bigkemna87 Yes. I will try to do one soon on it. I have had a few requests. It is great as a base camp or as an overnighter on the way to or from my launch point. I have also stayed in it for a week or so on hunting trips. It actually is quite a nice accommodation. Thanks for watching.
@nasserkuzbari2205 On that trip, I was using my Old Town Discovery 119, which is a great entry-level solo canoe. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for watching.
@@p3outdoors Thanks for your quick reply. I can't make up my mind about buying the Old Town Discovery 119 or the 119 Solo Sportman (for fishing and hunting) My concerns are the central gravity between both of them.
@nasserkuzbari2205 I chose the regular 119 since it was better for portages and using a single blade on rivers, yet was still plenty stable. The other one is good with a "kayak paddle" but seemed less versatile to me. I've been in both on big water of the Great Lakes and they felt about the same. I hope that helps with your decision.
@@p3outdoors Thank you, you just convicted me to get the 119. I heard you may be able to switch the way you sit on it by either using the seat or kneeling and it has more usable weight capacity. and is $300 less expensive. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing more videos from you.
I’m thinking about buying the discovery 119. It’s the perfect size but I’m wondering how well does it hold weight with a person and a lot of stuff? Is the waterline still quite a bit below the center gunwals or does it sit quite low in the water?
@alexbrandon2193 in the video, I have a 65L Bills Bag, 30L barrel, and 20# of camera gear. I weigh about 185#. I have had mine loaded to 275# or so with me on board. It did fine. They have good initial stability, and when loaded, remain stable. I was looking at pics of it on the water loaded, and it didn't look much different than with just me in it. I know that's not a technical measurement, but I have been pleased with its ability to carry a load even through rough water and remain dry.
Cool trip! Really like your camping trailor. Ever thought of doing a video on that? I would really like to see what you've done with it.

@ that’s good to hear. I weigh about the same so it should be a good canoe for me!
