Me and my siblings have a great relationship and I love them. My mom basically gave everything to my youngest brother. No one is bitter or thinks less of him. My mom though is beyond a terrible person. My sisters definitely deserved to be treated equal as they did a lot for her. It’s just a shame that this bias just kinda hangs over us

Last story. The ex-husband is, apparently, trying to keep the new wife happy by making her kids the priority. In my day it was called "the power of the p3@ch" and yours no longer has that power. Anyway. if he keeps ignoring his own kids' wishes tell him you are going to go back to court and petition for full custody with minimal visitation. You seem like a good parent who puts the wishes of the kids first. Full custody would mean child support so that should give him the incentive to change his way of thinking. It is playing dirty but it also means your kids will be happier. And, no, you do not owe him free child care for the steps. BTW Where is the mother of the steps and what part does she play in carting the kids around?
