- Hi folks, I just wanted to clear this up for people who are being mislead about the capabilities of this little fan/nightlight. Like I've said, this little device is neat and looks cool, but it is not an air conditioner. It is a fan that cools using ice water, so don't be fooled. I like the device and enjoy using it, but people seem to think it'll replace an air conditioner in their home. Well, it definitely won't.
not all heroes wear capes.. you just saved so many people from losing money to fraud..
seriously. This thing is $89 right now, or 3 for $239, but this review shows me it's exactly the same design as the $45 version I tried for a few months before donating (from home depot)
It should be a crime to scam people into buying a falsely advertised product. Bless you for making this review to save us the disappointment of yet another scam!
That's because in his first video, he misled people into thinking it would cool the room temperature. He's back tracking now.
No I didn't. I said the ad says it would cool a room. I shrugged that off and said it takes a lot of power to cool a room. Watch it again.

To trackback and retract what you said in the first video. You were misleading in the first video. I think you should remove the first video so that people don't get confused.

Living in Florida, I live in a pre-AC cracker style home. My room is small 10x10. Because of the old window design, a window AC is out of the question so this was the only way I could go and it made a big difference. Not a huge difference but at least I can sleep now. By soaking and freezing the sponge filter and filling the water well with ice water, it lasts a good seven hours. It's not a miracle machine but it worked out much better than I expected ESPECIALLY when you have nothing else.
I'm a crane operator and the ac doesn't work. I need something small to just cool a small cab so I'm gonna get two of these. It seems like a niche product. Would probably be good for camping maybe.

I made a video about it saying it's a neat little fan for really close up, then I saw a bunch of BS vids saying it'll cool an entire room and replace AC. Total BS.

I literally was just watching regular videos on YT and their ad popped up, normally I would skip all ads, but in that few seconds where I couldn’t skip they drew me in ngl. On the ad it said if I clicked the link from RUclips I would get a limited 55% discount, so I went on their website and everything seemed good so far. I was very impressed by the fact that it could “replace an AC and can cool an entire room”. So I had to come watch a review, and the first video I seen was the one you made almost a year ago which was a cool review BTW. I red your comments and realize a lot of people wasn’t messing with their product and saw that you made an updated review and that’s why I’m here. Thanks for saving a lot of us for wasting money on that shit scam.

So I car camp and bought one of these (not this brand) and it worked to keep me cool enough to sleep through the night…I didn’t use ice cubes instead I bought these metal cubes with a gel solution inside the metal cubes that stay cool .. I keep those in my frig cooler .. the lights are an issue so I took small pieces of tape to cover up the light which is why I didn’t get one of these kind because the whole top is a light. .. but for car camping this worked great. .. I plugged it into my jackery inverter and it ran all night with no issues.
Its a full blown scam, impossible to get a refund, this thing is a toy and a joke. there needs to be a class action suit against this company. When you call in for a refund they lie and send you on a goose chase until you give up.
So your wrong it has use they are just not advertising it right what you do is ad some essential oil to it and it works great for a defuser. Or if you need a humidifier.
@@t-bfr45-70 That's not what it's advertised as. It's 100% meant to be a replacement for AC for a 400 square foot room as the video ads say. This is fraud and the company should be shut down
@@starfallmedia329 here is the thing it's a Chinese company at some point they will be unable to sell them under whatever name they use now but they will change names and continue on. if you are dumb enough to think it would actually cool a room that's your issue and if you believe hard enough it will work placebo are great. My previous comment is 99% a joke but I could easily see them trying to sell it as a high speed defuser. The fact that no one is going after RUclips for allowing multiple Chinese scam companies to rip people off.
When seen the commercial for it all I could do is laugh when they said he used the bernoulli's principle that all ac systems to engineer this unit. Most people have no idea how ac systems work or what bernoulli's principle actually is.
You should know that it’s just a Chinese shell company. Class action is impossible.

When I was a kid we lived in a house with no ac, it was hell on summer nights when the house gave off the heat it had stored up during the day.
How I cooled myself off at night was to put my bed near the open window. Put a fan in the window blowing in.
Tie a sheet to the curtain rod or to the fan. Let the other side of the sheet drape over my bed and me.
It wont cool a room, but will cool the area over the bed.
Under the sheet was 70 degrees, outside the sheet was 85-90.
Glad to find this review. It’s sad that false advertising is so rampant. I had to threaten to turn them in for fraud to get my money back. Fortunately I found this review within 20 minutes of purchasing. I called them directly and they offered me 50% off what I’d paid, and I declined. When they said I’d have to call back because they couldn’t find my order, I said if I have to call back, I would be calling my bank to report them for fraud. I stay on the line until everything was refunded.

If you just put water in it, it only makes your room humid and hot. It didn’t cool the room down at all.
The central air conditioning unit in my house broke and I tried this as the sole means of cooling the room while I waited for the repair man.
I didn’t try it with ice. That might have worked better.
Thank you so much for your review. I was wondering about that thing. I have AC but to keep it from running all the time, I cool myself off by placing an icepack on my leg, under my feet, or on my chest if I'm lying down watching tv. It takes my temperature down immediately.
I live in less than 800 a month and support my family off that and a rent subsidy. My electric during the summer in Mississippi is around 400 a month I was seriously looking into this thing to see it would help. Thanks for saving me the money. All the other videos were obviously undisclosed ads

I totally agree. I have one and the ads are all misleading. The company pays for a ton of fake reviews saying it can replace your AC. It's just a small portable fan.
So I’m a mail carrier and I drive the little mail trucks that are from the 90s, and those things don’t have ac, all they give us is a little metal fan, they get hot when the sun warms the metal, and it blows hot air, which is miserable, soo I would want this thing as close to me as possible for the sake of not turning into a baked potato. Water cooled is better than having nothing to cool you down, so I’m willing to take my chances with it!

Anyone that's not a dummy should be able to tell from their advertisements that it's impossible for this to "cool a room". Kind of like those videos that claim you can make a magical power generator that runs itself for $10 from the hardware story. Anyway, what I did find amazing is the multiple layers of scaming. If you search for reviews, you'll find 3 or 4 top results that are also scams pretending to review the device, but are actually just more advertisements pushing you back toward buying this junk. It was actually somewhat of an effort just to find this video that tells the truth.
If it is too good to be true, IT IS.

Aaron thank you so much, I wanted to believe this might do some of what it claimed and almost ordered one thinking positive things about better applied technology. But no it's just an undersized swamp cooler. We had these in the field, small cooling stations and swamp cooler was 5x5x3 foot deep and bring temp down 15 degrees for sure. How people will LIE for money is so disappointing.
If it did really work like the big one I would be concerned about mold in the house from all that moisture.... South Texas

It's taking 18000 btu between two units to keep a space like that fairly cool. It was 91 today outside, but inside it was 66.
You're very right!😏 The reason I bought mine is I live in Florida and the last time there was a hurricane I was without electricity for two days. And it gets really hot on summertime even at night! So for the next one I'll get some relief since I can run it using power banks, like the ones for recharging cellphone. I have 3 each 20 k energy and other lower powers ones ( 10 k, 5 k ) Good for camping too.😏

But the ad said it cooled their whole classroom in two minutes, from 95° to 65°. I mean I want to believe it. It's a cool-looking gadget though. We called them swamp boxes back in Texas in 1960.

Thank you for the honest information! As I read the marketing promo, my immediate thought was the message was stretching the truth of what it can do. Lol, specifically when they implied you'd be able to turn up the thermostat of your home cooling system. That said, where is the Consumer Protection Agency in stopping such a flagrant misstatement of what a product will do!
