Finally, someone who doesn't play metal the ENTIRE time. 90% of videos like this are people going for a completely different sound than me, so It's always hard to judge, even with otherwise good examples. You may have went there in the end, but at least you changed it up a bit. Oh, and I'm sold on this too. Thank you so much for sharing this! It really helped.
Dne End no probs...it’s amazing stuff and it’s free...I will film more videos with it in the next week or two
Seems you have to listen to 100 shredders b4 you find a considerate reviewer.
x ...I think AmpliTube & BiasFX are quite similar...I haven’t had a chance to try BluCat Anxiom yet but a few friends of mine have they they really like it!
I think try out the free versions of all of them and see which one you connect with the most
x yeah AmpliTube needs a DAW...I gotta check out Anxiom
cool finally a useful demo. looking forward to more lessons on AmpliTube.
Thank you very much...more coming soon!!
For a free app amplitude is the best . If your not into all the extras may Hendrix ect . This is it. Also has 4 track loop and 8 track recorder. Saved you paying 166 quid for the payed version.
prefer a tube amp pedal or a pedal
it sounds warmer-brighter more natural
you can use all the plug in you want you won't sound good enough vs a pedal
but a plug in can much more sound metal and different lead tones
Man, I can't believe all this stuff is for free lmao. These are legit usable tones! Now pretty much any kid with an electric guitar, interface and a bedroom studio setup can start noodling away making whatever the hell they want. 😳Thanks for this amazing overview!
And I personally shilled a bit more on GGD cabs as well, and I think it works really well with Amplitube 4's amps! Really rounds out the spikiness/icepick of the tones, and makes it sound a lot more full and easier to mix in.
Amplitube is a great program and it has been overlooked the past couple years. I really like it!
I just recently acquired amplitube 4 (bundled with the axe I/o) and your video has been very helpful. I look forward to more in this series.
I really like your playing style, especially with the spring reverb. Subscribed!
Thank you very much Michael
Would have liked to see more of the pedals as this is one of the reasons I'm thinking about switching to amp sims! Especially the fuzz one :)
fab_fabby there will be more videos coming very soon...this was just an overview of all the stuff you get in the free version - there will also be some comparison videos with real pedals vs the Amplitube version
Very well explained.. I see that certain goodys can be added to this . very cool.. A live guitar player can sound like he has 5 half stacks on the stage.or more.. very cool technology... Great demostration
Thank you very much!!
Awesome review. Thanks for your efforts.
Thank you Roberto!!
I have the Max edition of AmpliTube and it works pretty well. Has it’s good points and bad but overall a very nice piece of software.
I ended up looking at the JPMC the whole time! It's such a unique guitar, and certainly gives me a Sonic Youth vibe just from the looks alone!
Yeah its very Sonic Youth...its a killer guitar...I'm very happy with it!!
Great Demo
I had the same version but got tired of having to go to the Store to make purchase.
Im more of the Guitar Rig 5 guy as its a one time purchase. I bought the MeLoAudio MIDI Commander that you mentioned.
Still waiting on you to demo it with GR5 showing how to do presets
Thankyou
Thank you Allan ...that's still coming!
That British Tube Lead amp really nails the JCM800 tone!
It sure does
Really? For me it sounds nothing like it. Am I doing something wrong? I use a H-S-S strat
I’m not sure...I didn’t add anything else to it when I recorded it...I used the Hi-Z or High Impedance input on my interface...maybe try using a DI next time...that may fix it?!?
WOW. Impressed! Thanks for this video, it's EXACTLY how i would've approached this program for the first time - testing things and checking around. Definitely made me more interested to check it out. AND this may be the cure for GAS right now! *much cheaper too ;)
Thanks GuitarWithGabe
very good!!! i m doing my home studio. this a great option for me the free version...great sounds!
This is a great idea for a series! Hope you try out what the amp sims from Amplitube sound like with real, physical dirt pedals in front of them.
I'll be moving abroad soon with limited possibilities to bring music stuff with me, so I bought BiasFX to be able to get amp simulation and effects directly into my DAW. But the amp sims in Bias sounded poor to my ears, even the free ones from Amplitube that you demo here sound better to me.
Thanks latontolog ...yep, I will definitely will be running pedals into the Amp sims...there will be a mini series within the series on that
I use Amplitube 4 with a loop pedal, tube screamer, compression and a chromatic tuner infront of the interface - really good experience! go for it! honestly very little difference.
You guys have a video on everything I look up it seems.
Subbed.
It feels like we’ve done a video on just about everything...but they keep making more stuff...it never ends!! And thank you for subbing!!
Great walkthrough!
Amplitube Metal was recently free in a promo back in June (I think) so I would imagine that was popular. Maybe do a demo on that? I've seen loads of demos of the amps but precious few on the pedals
Great vid btw
Thank you very much Dale!!
I have already filmed a bunch of videos with pedals...comparing the pedals in AmpliTube with the real versions of those pedals...but I had some issues with some of the footage so I will have to do it again...hopefully I’ll get around to it in the next week or so! Also there will be a shootout between my Engl Powerball and the AmpluTube Version coming soon!!
I have just bought an iRig HD2 and got access to Amplitube4 this video was super helpful as i start to find my way around the amp. Would be really helpful if you could show how you could use Amplitube to work with streaming programs such as JamKazam to play with remote band members
Hi Robert, I glad the video was helpful!! I'll see what I can do re JamKazam
The SuperFunAwesomeHappyTime Pedal Show! Thanks appreciate the consideration.
Hi Robert, I also got the HD2 last week. I am getting muffled sound though (even with the presets) and I am not sure if I am doing something wrong. Keep in mind I am a beginner with a beginner guitar. Any idea? Did you have similar issues?
great video! I think it may have saved me a lot of headache to figure it out! excellent presentation!!
Thank you very much...glad you liked it!
Great video, thanks a lot for for the demo.
Thanks Brendan...glad you liked it! There will be a few more Amplitube videos coming very soon!!
Thanks for a very useful video. I used to have a digital amp (Line6 Amplifi 75), but I've decided to swith to a Fender Hotrod with a pedalboard... I was looking for another amp to recording my rehersals at Ableton as I now have a USB mic for the Hotrod but the problem is the surrounding noises, but this option of a VST and an Audio Interface seems to be a pretty good option
a guitar Nurd.aha that great and thank you for this Tuto ;)
I'm new to this. And I love it so far.. but we gotta stand up and ROCK. just like we did before this was invented... or some kind of device on the guitar.. so the player can get to his settings he's already made. and jam out a song list with no wasted time...
You can use a midi controller to do all that..i will make a video with that early next year!!
So nice 💪
This stuff is for free?? Geez thats incredible!
It sure is
The SuperFunAwesomeHappyTime Pedal Show! But why after the 10 days trial it won’t work anymore ? I have repetitive buzz(noise) sounds that make it aweful to play :(
@@TheG0ldx i just faced the same problem. It is not free at all. this dude is just crazy. it is the demo essay for 10 days only. Then we need to activate and pay for it..
Amplitude...Lewitt...Logic. Subbed
busted out the drop c and was waiting for some Ty Tabor grooves

I'm now getting into a new field of using a Focusrite and plugging my guitar into my computer to add some new songs to my youtube channel and I'm thinking of using this on my computer. But I hope that there is a sample I can use first to make sure it is what I'll be able to use with Reaper.
What are people using and liking for output speakers coming out of Amplitube? I am using some Apple external speakers with a subwoofer. It sounds ok but looking for something better. Do you use monitors? amp heads and cabs? Would love to hear what you prefer.
I'm using my monitors...Yamaha HS8...nothing super fancy but they do the trick. I wouldn't recommend using subwoofers with Guitar sim plugins - especially ones made for watching movies with - because they tend to boost the really low bass frequencies a lot more than you need...and on the guitar you don't really want/need that...it will just make everything sound muddy...unless you cut those frequencies out...I would try and use something with a fairly flat EQ response like studio monitors or full range speakers such as PA speakers...or good headphones that won't boost the bass
Hi guys, how do you stream the Amplitube straight to the RUclips? I'm trying to use with OBS and my Focusrite, but the tone goes straight, without passing through Amplitube. So, how to stream my guitar being processed with Amplitube? Any tips? Thankks.
I’ve never used it with OBS but I have with Zoom...all I had to do was make sure that I’m going into inputs 1 or 2 on the interface as most online chat or streaming services only seem to pick up the first two channels on an interface...but then it worked fine...I had logic open while I was on zoom and my students on the other end said it sounded good
@@TSFAHTPS Thanks man! I'll try that!
Got amplitube and I do love it but looking for a couple of cheap multi effects pedals for practising to get away from the computer, out of all of the multi effects pedals you have tested which do you think is best for effects(specifically distortions/fuzz/overdrives)? And which is best for amp sims(dont care about cabs/mics as im using IR loader)?
Depends on how cheap...I really liked the Zoom G1Four...that's very cheap...the Ampero by Hotone was killer too
Love this, I am struggling to get close to Carlos Santana Samba Pa Ti sound, any suggestions?
Possibly...I never tried but possibly! Once you get into the amps and cabinets you have to pay for I'm sure there is something that will get you close-ish
Dose Amplitube 4 come with a digital reverb? I’ve searched everywhere on Amplitube and I can’t find it anywhere
There are a bunch of reverbs...but not in the free version. I’m pretty sure the clean Fender style amp has amp reverb...and then there are a couple of reverb stomps and reverb racks you can buy in the AmpliTube Custom Shop
What are the Amps on this? what kind of amp heads are on here and how many different cabinets? seems we didn't get a run down on the Amps and Cabinets that are with this Amplitube 4 ..
This was a run through of what you get in the free version...I just did a video with the free stuff in the new version - AmpliTube 5!
Let me know if there are any particular Amps or effects you want me to show in some future videos...I will do a whole series of videos with Amplitube
Beats the hell out of rocksmith, realtone cable plugs right into my laptop and works well enough for my needs😆
How do you get to where you can play? I can’t figure it out
@@bobrock9758 make sure the amp and everything is switched on. Also fx and R is on in the recorder menu on left hand side of screen. Might need to mess with the input/output level and master volume of amp a little as well.
@@cmgillespie92 thanks, I finally got it I had to open amplitube, I thought you played through custom shop.
@@bobrock9758 oh haha yeah that confused me at first as well😂 i still dont know why i had to download custom shop tbh lol
@@cmgillespie92 yeah, I was getting mad haha i really wanted to try the dime collection.
Also how can you hook up this Amplitube 4 to your guitar amp when you wanna play live in a band in front of an audience. . instead of sitting in front of a laptop staryin at and playing a guitar siting in a chair? With all those cool sounds.. I wanna stand up and ROCK... can anyone answer my question?
There is a standalone version which I will look at in a future video too...it’s not really meant for running into an amp - it’s mostly about the Amp Sims in it...but you can use a midi controller to switch sounds and there is a looper in the standalone version too
@@TSFAHTPS Thank you. Super fun awesome happy time pedal dude.
I bought Amplitube Max last week, it was on special offer. Its amazing, im certainly glad I bought it.
I use it in Cubase and when I load some preset tones they are hell of a loud, see the MASTER volume button (bottom right corner of amplitube), is that the one I should turn to lower the volume, or is it best to lower it in the Cubase mixer instead. Im new this kinda stuff and still not got my head round most of it yet.haha cheers mate
Hey if anyone could help that would be great, I downloaded the free version but it doesn't show up in logic how do you do that ?
Not sure why it would do that...?!? When I installed mine it showed up straight away! Are you using the latest version of Logic...10.5? Some plugins may not work with 10.5...
Was there a Friedman BE amp sim in version 4?
Lol idk how to get past the custom shop menu, it’s so confusing and it gonna waste my trial because I can’t find where I can use the gear
Hi, I've installed Amplitube 4 Free. When I open amplitube in my Daw I don't see the Manual, compare ,copy, paste, etc. The topbar in the amplitube window start where the default bar is. So I can't copy and paste, undo en redo. Can you help me out. Thanks.
Wonder if something could be attached to a guitar strap.. so the player can get to the settings he wants at the drop of a hat when it's time to play a different song. or a instrumental.. and be right on the money.. for live performance.. anyone answer this? just seems boring jamming with all these cool sounds and sitting looking at a laptop..
And if you want to change an effect when you playing, how you change ??
12:20 what are you playing? It's soo nice.
how easy is it , to get Amplitude Free Version?
From what I know it’s very easy...just sign up and download it...that’s all I did
do you have a DI in front or are you plugged right into the interface?
How would one adjust latency?
Metal amp sim reviews need to put warning signs on the video title, for crunch/mid gain players, "There be dragons here".
I need help. Can I use ik amplitube for commercial work I can't find any thing saying yes or no Or can someone point me to some ones that are free for commercial work. Plz reply.
Of course you can...you can use these amps for anything you like
@@TSFAHTPS Thank you.
How do I get rid of the little latency when I use these plugins?
You may have to adjust your sample rate in your DAW or try a ‘low latency mode’...I’m not sure...depends on your DAW and your computer. I seem to be lucky - I haven’t really experienced any latency on my computer
Have you switched to ASIO driver?
@@Orin-D Ofcourse. The driver from my Focusrite.
How do you get it to stop making that noise every 5 secs
Is this a demo version like a 30 days trial or something like that or it will last for ever ?
Stogpunk the stuff I use in this video is free and yours for ever
The SuperFunAwesomeHappyTime Pedal Show! Does this one in 64 bits or only 32 thanks again for your answer
@@Stogpunk ive already tried this in 64,,,
Great sounds but I find the software confusing. It's an amazing tool but it's interface is horrible if you're new to it. Amplitube makes you look through the panels wondering "Oh is this preset two amps in parallel? Lemme click here which ones. Do I have the right cabs connected? What mics? Any pedals? Umm..." I'm just disappointed they missed their chance to clean up their interface when version 4 came out. Even Line 6 does a better job with the Helix software or even their old Podfarm, where you see everything represented on an intuitive signal chain. Sorry about this rant, rock on!
Is there any free version?
Can't download from the website.
Not sure what the problem is?!?
@@TSFAHTPS It's working now :D Had the code "Forbidden 403" all day yesterday for some reason. Works now, tyvm :D
How did you not have any feedback on a single coil pickup?! Hahaha i plug in my strat and with phaser on it sounds like im in a spaceship
maybe try raising your gate
can i use my guitar link with these?
You can use any interface with it...but you need a DAW because it’s a plug-in not a stand alone app...Garage Band or Logic or Cubase, ProTools, Reaper, Studio One pretty much any DAW
what is SAW sir?
DAW imean
A DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) is basically recording software like all the ones I mentioned...like Garage Band, Logic etc
Hey Guys!! Can i get in contact with you in order to give me some sessions helping me to evaluate gear/software options according to my needs... I wondered if you could help me in a more personalized way... basically I want to know which interphase / monitors / DAW / amps & effects simulator will fit my needs... please let me know

Why does every single guitar youtube have their audio levels so out of whack... I have to have my finger on the volume slider to turn it down every time they start playing so I don't blow out my eardrums. It never fails
Well I mean it is a video about the audio, if the actual audio wasn’t loud it wouldn’t be as clear and nice to hear
@@vr2crossquake705 You're totally missing the point. The guitar and voice levels should be even so the viewer doesn't have to grab their remote to adjust the volume every time they start and stop playing
