I managed to do the same thing but I actually stole the car. You can use that car, the handling is very weird, it has superb acceleration and even better handling. It can't be destroyed. I will post a video soon.
The mission is tied to the car and scripted car. I stole the car and ram on the wall once to tame the car otherwise it would move by it’s own then just go to the port and cutscene will play as usual but sometimes the game crashes
This happened for me but in a different location. Except I couldn't pull the driver out and the car was invincible. I had a CD version of the game from like 2003

It’s not a glitch it’s modded. In the original version you cannot even open the car

Same thing can happen to Morello if you block his car near theater. Then somehow Paulie or Sam throw him out of the car.
I think they didn't do that when that happened to me. But maybe the car was completely trapped, I'm not sure.

This is happened to me in a different way. I shoot the car's tires and driver ai turned into a moron. Then I killed him.

Same thing happened to me I blocked Morello car and i squished morello with car that you get and with his car
And he still lucky basterd
