Love the video, very useful! I've been using Apple Notes more too for following reasons: 1.Faster and more intuitive to use. 2. You can sketch with it using apple pencil. 3. integrates with apple intelligence and apple devices. So far using folder system and tags for organising and trying to figure it how to organise it. Only thing I wish it had is a way to use Kanban boards but might switch to checkbox style for projects.
Hi John: As of January 2025, Apple Notes does not have a native Kanban board feature. However, there is a workaround to simulate a Kanban-like experience within Apple Notes: Vertical Kanban Simulation You can create a vertical Kanban-style layout in Apple Notes using the following method: 1. Create a new note 2. Use headers (##) to create your Kanban columns (e.g., “To Do,” “In Progress,” “Done”) 3. Under each header, use bullet points or checkboxes to list tasks 4. Move tasks between sections by cutting and pasting This approach allows you to visually organize your tasks in a Kanban-like format, albeit with some limitations compared to dedicated Kanban tools. Alternative Apple Solutions If you’re looking for a more robust Kanban experience within the Apple ecosystem, consider these options: 1. Apple Reminders: As of MacOS Sonoma and iOS 17, the Reminders app now supports a Kanban-style view called “As Columns”. This feature allows you to create proper Kanban boards with draggable tasks. 2. Freeform: Apple’s Freeform app can be used to create a more visual Kanban board using sticky notes and custom layouts. This offers more flexibility in design but lacks some of the automated features of dedicated Kanban tools.XO Lisa
I've been using Notion for three years. It's the most difficult tool I've ever used. Creating a simple task list is a horrifying experience every time. Non of my staff know how to work with, non of my suppliers, but somehow it was the best tool recomaded by the internet.
Ding Ding Ding - You gave me a lightbulb moment - I have a PC and wasn't thinking I could access my iPhone Notes in the iCloud and as you did the tutorial, I looked and I can use notes on my PC. So much easier to type on there. I know that wasn't what you intended your video to be, but you inadvertently opened my eyes. I only use notes for simple things (for example, grocery lists) but now you've shown I can use it for more! I never got into Notion, but I have used Click Up.
Absolutely agree! I wanted to try Notion but every time I look at it, it does my head in. I have a type of dyslexia called dyscalculia and overcomplicated and hidden lists are stressful to me. I’ve been using Notes for years and it’s so useful and quick. Collaborating a note which I share with my husband is also really useful.
Please share, how do you simulate KANBAN boards in Apple notes. I got used to KANBAN boards in Notion, If it was there in apple notes, i could have Quit Notion.

Kanban would be a great feature.

Hi Alex: Ha - right! I think it's a Notion funded blitz campaign. XO Lisa

Hi Esther: Right?! I think they're all being paid by Notion to say they love it. Lol. XO Lisa

Your video animation looks and flow so nice. Can you make a video on how to do that?
