I follow a lot of youre lessons on you tube its in my opinion great stuff because there is a lot but these lessons for me are the best that fit in my style of playing .. thks. Greetings from Holland
Great as always, I did not know the whole tone chord. Thelonius Monk was a great man for the whole tone scale. F# lydian dominant would of course work too for that altered sound over the C7
By oriental you mean middle eastern, yeah? You also have all the augmented and diminished arpeggios that occur natural in the Phrygian dominant-but maybe that’s coming in the part of the video I haven’t seen yet!
@@Mikkokosmos I feel like the #5 sound (especially when heading toward a minor chord resolution) is a significantly easier alteration for ears not already deep into jazz.
HI Mikko I did try out yiur ideas bibscales and Parker motives in Chetokee recdntly playing this with anither cat.. And alsi tried to applie it to Giant steps.. Niw I am looking forward ti yout approach in Caravan!
Thanks 😃 I wasn't able to use that audio actually. Something is wrong with that mic gonna buy a new one. However I was able to change some mic settings to get better audio but I'm still not happy about the audio. But I'm getting there. Baby steps 😎
I love your guitar. Love what you do with it too. Thanks.
Thanks 😃

Yes that's a better word for it! They use this scale for example in Israel. I didn't cover arpeggios in this video 🤓
I also like the Bb diminished minor, and the Gb major to move into the F min
What is diminished minor? 🤔
Cool!
Phrygian dominant also really nice over C7#5.
Yes for sure 😎👍

I call the harmonic minor HM5
👍👌
MIKKO, is the Phrygidian Dominant Scale as well flirting eiith the Oriental Scale actually???
Fifth mode of the Harmonic Minor Scale.
The first scale looks like an F melodic minor starting from the 5th.
You mean F harmonic minor?
nine inch scales
As always an excellent lesson. I'm interested in buying the pdf, if it's ok with you, as I've done before, I'll send you by pay pal 2$. Is that ok?
Yup that's cool 😎
