America’s got talent be like: Narrator: Brett yang and Eddy chen has been bullied in school frequently and it has completely crushed their self esteem….until a gift for their birthday, the moment that changed their life, a violin. Director: cry right now Eddy! pat him on the shoulders Brett…that’s it. Eddy reading from the script: it was my mom who gave me the gift of optimism, positivity, and the happiness of my life. It was the only object that I can always rely on (doesn’t make sense i know). Until just recently, she had gone away from me *fake cries*- Eddy’s mom be like: WTF?? Eddy continues: and I will treasure my violin as a souvenir, of a tragic yet magical past. I have been practicing 40 hours a day, and am happy to use this opportunity, to present my talent to America, of a wonderful piece called Flight of the Bumblebee, playing 100 notes per second, and I believe I will break the world record set by many others. *CUT* Eddy and Brett: what on earth was that BRETT VERSION COMING SOON
To Brett and Eddy. Go to the show, listen to what the directors want you to do (maybe procure a sob story or something?), audition, completely disobey what the directors wanted you to say or do, and... *Play Brett's LoFi.* (Or, you could just show them what real talent is, I guess)
I suggest you watch the channels here in YT detailing the contracts in AGT. Although it would be funny to troll them, it's really not worthwhile to go through that.
2:40 It doesn't matter. All speed is measured based against an inertial frame of reference (think of when you're walking on a train moving 100 km/h; you feel like you're walking down the aisle at 2 km/h and not like you're walking at 102 km/h; the train is your inertial frame of reference), and in this case, the earth would be our inertial frame of reference since we're measuring our time dilation against it. To get into the weeds a bit, the earth *does* accelerate and decelerate a bit over the course of a year due to its elliptical orbit around the sun, so you'd have to account for that acceleration if you planned to keep practicing 40 hours a day for long periods of time, but at any given moment, the speed of the earth, sun, and galaxy are irrelevant to the necessary calculations. I should add a big old "if I'm remembering correctly" to all of this, because I'm not an expert, just an enthusiast. This is my understanding of it and I could very well be wrong or missing some important details.
At 3:20 It is not possible to get an exact value of y, because the equation will give a linear equation in x, therefore resulting in infinite possible values of y. Basically it means that you actually have no choice, but to GO PRACTICE your instrument😃
I think I got the answer but I did some unconventional solving. Basically brute force solving where I try to solve no matter what process. Maybe get X first if possible then solve for y and double check if the values are correct. Sorry if I'm wrong, I'm bad at Math
Oh wait, I'm bad. I got x= -2/3. Don't ask for full solution lol. So I inserted that into the original equation but I got 4y³-72= 4y³-72 .... I can't find the value of y, only found x.. Bruh. Nerds of the internet, assist me. Its 10:06pm here xd.
@@samsunguser3148 You are right, you can only get the x value because it is actually a linear equation in disguise therefore it is not possible to find one single value of y. @@TL_BananaGreen Of course! One of my favorite violinists too (saying that is an understatement, half my gallery is Hilary and the other half is Janine)
1:11 this is also something learned in ap calc called the “harmonic series” (which is essentially that 1/n=1+1/2+1/3+1/4 and so on and so on). so that’s actually what explains why harmonics work where they work on instruments
Hey TwoSet and TwoSetters! Thanks to y’all for motivating me to practice a bunch, as I just performed my first concert in my professional wind ensemble!! Y’all are the best and don’t forget to practice 40 hours ;)
The problem is you'd show up their darling judges. Thanks for this channel. It kept my son playing violin through extended lockdown when lessons were on zoom. He nearly gave up at 13 years. Humour always helps.
2:09 The song in question is called the March of the Gladiators and the version we are familiar with is sped up, like double time or something. When played slowly it is imposing and scary. When played fast it is manic... and creepy? Seriously though, slow that song down and it is right up there with Darth Vader's theme.
10:00 Eddy I don't think you can actually do that once you sign the contract and even if you do that they can sue you for violating the terms of contract

It doesn't mean that you cannot solve for y, it just means that any real number (except 0 because of the y^3 in the denominator) would solve the equation.

The funny thing about the equation at 3:03 is that Y cancels out. It can be *anything* other than zero. X, on the other hand, must be -2/3. Hmm, that's -0.666... so I'm wondering if this is a subtle hint to practice the Devil's Trill Sonata.
Yeah in the end it just says y³=y³. I tried to solve for it too! Just wondering why y≠0? As I have understood it y can be any number, since there is no rule that says you can't take zero to the power of something.
@@sofiaisgar7699 the problem is the 9x/y² term. Division by zero is undefined, so the simplification of y²/y² = 1 is true only when y is nonzero. 0/0 does *not* equal 1. This sounds hairsplitting, but you can "prove" all sorts of nonsense like 1 = 2 if you let an algebraic division by zero creep into your calculations. Example: Let a and b be equal and nonzero: a = b Multiply both sides by b: ab = b² Subtract a² from both sides: ab - a² = b² - a² Factor both sides: a(b - a) = (b + a)(b - a) Divide out the common (b - a) term: a = b + a But b = a, so we can substitute a for b: a = a + a So if a = 1, we get 1 = 1 + 1, or 1 = 2, which is obviously wrong.

1:42 i bet this meme has actually appeared in ling ling 40 hours and back in the day they were like "yeah it's true". but now they get even more critical. that picture is there to just show that the higher the pitch, the smaller distance between each single note, never really meant to be theat specific

Narrator: Brett yang and Eddy chen has been bullied in school frequently and it has completely crushed their self esteem….until a gift for their birthday, the moment that changed their life, a violin.
Director: cry right now Eddy! pat him on the shoulders Brett…that’s it.
Eddy reading from the script: it was my mom who gave me the gift of optimism, positivity, and the happiness of my life. It was the only object that I can always rely on (doesn’t make sense i know). Until just recently, she had gone away from me *fake cries*-
Eddy’s mom be like: WTF??
Eddy continues: and I will treasure my violin as a souvenir, of a tragic yet magical past. I have been practicing 40 hours a day, and am happy to use this opportunity, to present my talent to America, of a wonderful piece called Flight of the Bumblebee, playing 100 notes per second, and I believe I will break the world record set by many others.

Eddy and Brett: what on earth was that
BRETT VERSION COMING SOON
Nice story
No one:
Eddy: looking after scientific accuracy in memes.
That is so eddy🤣🤣🤣
As he should.
the flute girl had some insane skills. i cannot begin to imagine how long she practiced for that session
To Brett and Eddy.
Go to the show, listen to what the directors want you to do (maybe procure a sob story or something?), audition, completely disobey what the directors wanted you to say or do, and...
*Play Brett's LoFi.*
(Or, you could just show them what real talent is, I guess)
Then they don't air it and might open a civil lawsuit of breach of contract..
P l a y B r e t t ‘ s L o F i
AGT (or AGC) has very bad contracts, so they might just steal twoset's channel
This is my understanding of it and I could very well be wrong or missing some important details.
as a flute player, i happen to know that flutes can go one c lower than that.
Yeah, I was like no way dude they can definitely go lower than middle C.
Petition for Eddy and Brett to NOT go to AGT. You guys are too talented and too amazing. Don't let them try to be a leech on your successes.

It is not possible to get an exact value of y, because the equation will give a linear equation in x, therefore resulting in infinite possible values of y.
Basically it means that you actually have no choice, but to GO PRACTICE your instrument😃
Exactly! 😁
I came here looking for this comment 😆
I think I got the answer but I did some unconventional solving. Basically brute force solving where I try to solve no matter what process.
Maybe get X first if possible then solve for y and double check if the values are correct. Sorry if I'm wrong, I'm bad at Math
So I solved more and I got 72= - 72 what the hell. I'm solving it again
We will get infinite possible values for y.
That's the point of the joke anyway😅you have no choice but to practice your instrument 🙃
About that meme at 2:28, I just realized that if one were to move to Pluto, you could easily practice 40 hours a day.
5:49 simply means that only Eddy can make Brett genuinely laugh 😘😘😘
You forgot Hilary Hahn!
And Janine Jansen ofc
@@TL_BananaGreen Of course! One of my favorite violinists too (saying that is an understatement, half my gallery is Hilary and the other half is Janine)
@@dish6 nah, I think Brett would be fangirling over Hilary and Janine instead 😆 his face would be like this -> 🥰🥰🥰 rather than -> 😂😂😂
1:11 this is also something learned in ap calc called the “harmonic series” (which is essentially that 1/n=1+1/2+1/3+1/4 and so on and so on). so that’s actually what explains why harmonics work where they work on instruments
Hey TwoSet and TwoSetters! Thanks to y’all for motivating me to practice a bunch, as I just performed my first concert in my professional wind ensemble!! Y’all are the best and don’t forget to practice 40 hours ;)
Congrats, I'm so proud! Would have loved to've been there.
The problem is you'd show up their darling judges. Thanks for this channel. It kept my son playing violin through extended lockdown when lessons were on zoom. He nearly gave up at 13 years. Now at 14 he's playing better having a teacher face to face. Though with mask, windows open even in winter. Still he's practicing more, as he's more appreciative. So a million thanks. Humour always helps.
Twoset was also my inspiration for practicing piano until I found my own reasons
@@hooman9554 glad you are still playing. Keep enjoying.
9:42 I'm reaaaally genuinely curious to know which video AGT saw that made them invite Twoset 😆
May be hula hooping 😂
2:09 The song in question is called the March of the Gladiators and the version we are familiar with is sped up, like double time or something. When played slowly it is imposing and scary. When played fast it is manic... and creepy? Seriously though, slow that song down and it is right up there with Darth Vader's theme.
2:45 is KILLING ME 💀💀💀 I just keep watching it over and over again… the CHAOS. Absolutely stunning.
Guess he is playing interstellar theme
Very relative
Petition for twoset to make a video where they turn popular Christmas carols/songs into classical pieces on garageband
No joke, that manga was incredibly well drawn! The facial expressions are amazing!
I always look forward to other instruments showing up in these videos. The shots fired are always hilarious
10:00 Eddy I don't think you can actually do that once you sign the contract and even if you do that they can sue you for violating the terms of contract
2:48 You had me rolling on this one editor-san.
Same lol
Hehe I actually tried solving the math problem and got that Y can be any number except 0 while X is -2/3
Also, loved this video as usual. Uploads from you guys always just make my day :)
i got y=square root of -9/y^2 -17x what did i do wrong sensei
12y^2(y/3 + 9x/y^2) = 4y^3 -72
4y^3 + 108x = 4y^3 -72
108x = -72
x = -2/3
Therefore, y can be any real number. Hope this helps!
y can’t be 0 but otherwise any number works
I had to ask Wolfram Alpha for help 😓
Same here

Nothing to do with the video but I would like to thank TwoSet + the team for always bringing a smile on my day. Depression has been taking such a toll on me and TwoSet is one of the bestest silver lining I could ever ask for while fighting it.
as an american watcher, twoset delivers great breakfast videos

According to my calculations, you live in Brisbane, not anywhere in Brisbane close to the city side. now to get closer by wind movements and camera angles, I agree that you live southwest/west/south of Brisbane. Let's get closer, by looking at previous videos I can tell you live in an older region of Brisbane near saint Lucia mount ommaney oxely or darra. If this is not it twoset definitely has made videos here
3:13 - you cannot solve for Y as it cancels out, however X = -2/3.
I worked it out and you're right HAHA we're those people who just have to do it :D
I think there's no point in having the x though, If the idea is the y canceling out 🤔 or is there a hidden meaning for x 😅
It doesn't mean that you cannot solve for y, it just means that any real number (except 0 because of the y^3 in the denominator) would solve the equation.
@@rekal7775 oh yeah that's true. How would you write that if it were an actual maths answer though?
y0? Is there an except sign in maths
@@massivepanda8692 you can write it as a union of two intervals. Negative infinity to 0, open on both sides, united with 0 to positive infinity, also open on both sides. I hope you can understand, English is not my first language.
Hope you guys are taking care of yourselves while posting so frequently. ❤️ We all appreciate your hard work 😍
I am proud to say I have my first violin preformance tomorrow! (dont mind my terrible spelling) You guys have encouraged me to keep practicing and to work hard!

Pregnant baby!?!? What?! 9:29 ?!
The Flautist....(3:50) I am speechless. So talented. As a fellow flautist I am now further inspired to practice the LingLing amount. That was beautiful. Well done.

Pregnant baby LMAO
Speaking of that, my mom used to play classical music when i was still in the womb. Definitely one of those 'pregnant babies' eddy was talking about
The look on Brett's face every time Eddy makes mistake is still wholesome

PD: Thank God I have the notification bell activated 😅
And about the video, I support you in every decision you make and it was hilarious :)

The lady playing the flute was amazing!!! I want to hear more
The funny thing about the equation at 3:03 is that Y cancels out. It can be *anything* other than zero. X, on the other hand, must be -2/3. Hmm, that's -0.666... so I'm wondering if this is a subtle hint to practice the Devil's Trill Sonata.

@@nguyenmsg And proudly so! 😀
@@Barpoint212 I like the spirit. Keep it up
Yeah in the end it just says y³=y³.
Example:
Let a and b be equal and nonzero: a = b
Multiply both sides by b: ab = b²
Subtract a² from both sides: ab - a² = b² - a²
Factor both sides: a(b - a) = (b + a)(b - a)
Divide out the common (b - a) term: a = b + a
But b = a, so we can substitute a for b: a = a + a
So if a = 1, we get 1 = 1 + 1, or 1 = 2, which is obviously wrong.
Omg that is Melody!! I love Melody's skills!!!!

the time thing is actually incorrect if you travel 80% of the speed of light YOUR time is going to slow down and everything around at normal speed so if an hour passed for you more hours passed in the real world. so you practiced for 40 hours more than 40 hours have passed for others.
