I have a fun idea for a challenge. Could y’all please catch eight Pokemon of your choice that all have random abilities. Both of you also get to pick out the move sets after catching the Pokemon. Once you both acquire teams, read off each of your team members’ Pokedex entries. If the one being read to correctly identifies a Pokemon entry, he gets the option to force a trade without knowing the moveset of the identified Pokemon. The player who gets the identity correct is also able to pick out a custom ability for the traded Pokemon. Sabotaging some of your own team members is legal. Let’s say that the two leftover Pokemon with easy Pokédex entries are physical attackers like Machamp. You can rigg the entire moveset to be special or support moves. The Pokemon can’t be pseudo legends, legends, paradox, ultra beast, mythical or, starters to make it a bit more challenging.
Luke I have this very stupid suggestion can you do this, you flip a coin every round and you have to ask one yes or no question they answer it for each Mon and they cannot lie and you pick your Mon based off of that

The music/sound effects to Sunflora switching in only to lose about 60% of its health to a random Drain Punch really goes to show how bad Sunglora is under normal conditions.
It's been a while since Luke did a video where they don't tell the opponent all the choices they missed. I didn't get to see Luke's reaction to missing an Ogrepon or finding out there were 2 Calyrexs in one randomizer.
Idea: You have up to 8 lies you can spread between your 6 rounds of presenting Pokemon to your opponents. Hypothetically, more than one, or even no Pokemon could be a lie. You can even lie about all 3 in a round for some shenanigans.
Or if that's a lot, you can keep the standard format, but that idea that you CAN lie rather than being forced to lie could make for some fun mind games
Honestly Pure Power and Huge Power on appropriately low BST pokemon are less cringe than some other stuff on behemoths. I think the best approach is cringe (H Power, P Power, Ice Scales, Fur Coat and Moody) allowed on pokemon under 500 BST Maybe we include Simple in the restricted pile
I didn't say it was zero cringe. It's less cringe than something like Ice Scales Giratina that's allowed by the current rules. And I would honestly enjoy seeing something like Darmanitan go wild.
@@priestesslucy My point was due to min maxing, BST isn’t a good way to assign restrictions. Darmanitan and Glalie have the same total but vastly different competitive levels
I think instead of blanket banning huge/pure power, it'd be more reasonable to just ban it on anything with above 80 base attack or something. Like it would really suck to get medicham or azumaril and not be allowed to give them the ability that makes them not useless.
Fun fact: The first time I ever tried to keep up with a GameBoyLuke/Patterrz series wasn't exactly a series, but rather them competing in a Multi Battle draft league (I think their name was Team Crumpet, but I could be misremembering that part). And I remember that they got absolutely bodied by a Moody Glalie in one of their first matches because this was back when Moody also affected evasiveness and accuracy. 😂

The thing PatterZ should have done in the Kyurem/Dachsbun/Komala pick was indeed to lie about the Kyurem's ability, but to make the lie be another signature ability (that is, one that only one has). That way there are 3 and the strategy is "which of these is no the signature ability pokemon."
An idea, you should do the exact same thing but you have to keep the lie if you pick it, so you can say a good ability to bait the opponent into a bad mon or use a bad one to prevent a strong mon to be picked and even if it is pick now it is nerfed.
A twist could be you say the ability of a pokemon that shares the typing of the starter on screen. So a Miraidon could be a starter option and you would say the Ability would be Static from Pikachu.
