Hi gentry I love the way you are so clear with your instructions but I am completely lost at the diamond..I am new to macrame and I am this far in and cannot complete my hat hanger. I see you explained it in comments but I still cannot figure it. Please can you help?
@@heathersmcmac3544 alot of macrame is just winging it. just make one knot and then next row make 3 etc. Each time you just switch which side has the knot.
Hi there. This is a beautiful pattern. How can I convert it to a single hat holder? What would the cord lengths need to change to, and how would I finish the ends?
Hi there I cant say how long it would be for a single hat as I haven't made that but its always better to over-estimate. So this one is 8 x 17' I would deduct about 3'. You may end up with may too much at the end but I would rather you have too much and not run out of macrame and waste a bunch! You would finish the end just like this one is finished!
I’m trying to make this with my disabled brother & we cant work out the middle section (the diamond) could you please do another video and slow it down a bit please. We are new to this craft. Thanks
Sure with it pulled taut (its stretched out into a circle now from the hat being there) the total length of the gap from bottom of knot to top of knot was 11.5"
Hi, amazing tutorial. I would like to know whether I am permmitted to make some hat hangers following this tutorial for my small online business. Thank you
I’m stuck as well. Your instructions are clear right up until the Diamond part and then I have no clue what to do. Please could we have a different video for this part.
Hi there! 17' means feet and 17" means inches. I like to remember it as feet has one syllable so one dash ' and inches has two syllables so two dashes ".
In step 12 you said 2 square knots but it looks like only one square knot on each side.. a square knot consists of 2 knots to make the square. When I make 2 square knots it doesn't look like yours
You go WAY to fast on the Diamond. I stopped and paused a hundred times but it was too fast to follow. I’m 90% done but can’t finish bec I can’t see how you did the Diamond.

I’m making this as a present so don’t have any hats to use to measure, would you have a rough length of the gap you leave for the hat?
Sure with it pulled taut (its stretched out into a circle now from the hat being there) the total length of the gap from bottom of knot to top of knot was 11.5"

Nunca mostraste como se hace el diamante
Are you saying 17 feet?
yes! ' is feet and " is inches. I always remember as foot is one syllable and inches is two which correlates to the number of dashes.
Can I get the actual lengths pls
The length of the hat hanger when finished?
What’s the finished length?
With with my hats in it the total length is 44".
