Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. Moreover, in the final part he added, with an oriental technique (from the Kazakhstan region). The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band name is A'Studio (Kazakh pop music group based in Russia, "Alma-Ata Studio", Almaty city). The dead singer (who Dimash was a fan of) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poetess Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the long-haired keyboardist, who we see in the video that accompanies Dimash.

There is another song in the singer's repertoire -"Love Is Like a Dream", written by Russian composer Igor Krutoy in 1994, performed by Dimasha sounded in a new arrangement. In 2001, she was recognized at the Russian Ovation Award as the hit of the decade. The song is based on poems by 17-y.o. poet Valeria Gorbacheva. To this day, "Love Is Like a Dream" is played at wedding ceremonies. If you haven't heard it, I recommend it and definitely with subtitles (amazing lyrics).

Igor Krutoy, the man in the white shirt at the end, a famous Russian composer, music titan and initiator of the New Wave had invited him. Now, both are a "Dreamteam" and work together from time to time. They are friends, have a father-son-relationship.

It is way better than the original...my opinion. You can tell Dimash was still learning English but he still slayed it!! He is a returning guest performer on a singing competition show in China. He was a contestant in 2017. I also recommend that you react to all his performances on the show as well. It was called "I Am The Singer" from the 2017 season. It shows the competitors many times during his performances and their faces are priceless. So funny.

@@B-Drags-Den Another performance that was banned (allegedly) from Dimash ever doing it again was his performance of Opera 2...originally performed by Vitas. Dimash of course slays it by doing 3 key changes up instead of the one key change Vitas does. Vitas supposedly got upset at being shown up and said Dimash could no longer sing his song. As far as I know, he has not performed it other than the one time in 2017 on the I Am The Singer show. You will love this one as well. Dimash's father is surprising him by being there. Dimash doesn't know he's in the audience and at the very end when he's thanking the band for their accompaniment he makes eye contact with his dad. You see the double take he does and the smile. Very heartstring pulling. Make sure to put on captions for this one. Dimash keeps asking his dad if he sang well. Makes you go "aaawww".
