I love my 2024 Road Glide so far. My favorite feature....being able to increase the throttle sensitivity and pull the front wheel in 2nd gear with ease now with my custom ride mode!
You can also add an BCLink 2-in-1 so u can have the Bluetooth going and still have port to charge phone.
Great stuff, John. I’m gonna do this for my 2024. I did get these through your link in appreciation for you doing this video. Even though my Cardo picks it up when I turn it on I’m not always using that. It does stink a little bit because you lose your power, but not a big deal to get CarPlay so easy.
Yeah, there’s also a fix for that as well

Bars look good. It's about time Harley started putting taller bars on their touring bikes. I have a 2020 Road Glide Limited and I believe the bars are around 11" but will be getting some taller bars soon. Nice bike you have there!

When you moved your bars forward, did you stop at the factory limit or did you go further than that. I recently bought my 2024 RG and moved my bars forward but I only went as far as the limit. Not sure what I need to do to go further forward. I’m 6’3” and would love to have them a little further forward.

I really like those standard bars set-up John, The way that You have them pushed slightly more forward looks well comfortable and there is no obstruction of the infotainment screen, Yeah John, Those bars must be night and day difference compared to the wheelbarrow bars that came as standard on the previous model Road Glide 👍🤘🏴
That new style standard bar set up would be a good set-up for the Road Glide 3 👍🤘

Great video, about the Bluetooth and usb-c hookup? I have a 23 Street Glide, use Android, do you think this would work on that setup? I looked up the usb- c device thru your link, is does say Android compatible, or is it just the new 24s this will work on?

I really do like the factory bars as well; I think Harley nailed it.
Those are the highest stock handlebars I've ever seen! And I love that they are so easy to adjust.

You have to checkout off week garage channel and see what he did to his 24 road glide license plate holder. Really slick looking.
Important: When adding the SureKliks to secure your Saddlebag Gun Holster, please be sure to add the supplied rubber washers to the bolts before installing.
John you need to get a Byrna non-lethal weapon so that you can carry anywhere in the US.. I think you will need a Sand or Orange Pistol to comply with NY/NJ rules. The non-lethal weapon fires tear gas and pepper spray balls that explode on impact and will knock down large person for upto 30 minutes of disorientation so you can call police. Don’t have to worry about USCCA protecting you cause of lethal force case.

Great video! Been watching your videos for a while now and realized I wasn’t subscribed. I am now! I do have a question. I just bought my very first touring bike. Got a vivid black 2024 Street Glide. Have you done any paint protection film on yours to protect the paint from scratches or chips from riding? I am so paranoid about getting any scratches or chips and I’m curious what others are doing to protect the paint. Not to mention the black paint shows every little thing on it. Nice bike. I’m not excited about the 24 colours and will probably go also with black because black is always safe and in style. I’m originally a chrome guy but am debating black trim as well. Unsure for now. Why did you decide to go black and chrome?

this is 100% the reason. Same reason why Android auto isn't on the new bikes they want a microphone connected for handsfree use and since there is not one built into the bike and requires you adding one they opted to not allow it on the bike.
@@603HD1HD requires a headset, which requires a mic, for Apple CarPlay. Right?
@@freebehindbars8654 that's correct you need a mic to make CarPlay work on the new bikes. Android Auto isn't giving them the option though to maybe have a mic paired. They want a mic integrated into the system is best I can assume.
Looks great. I will be buying a 2024 or 2025 Road Glide my only concern is there no Android car play which sucks..I am sure there will be a way around that soon..
Great information John; per usual. My '24 (Blue Burst) has been excellent for me. I still need to remove the reflectors off the front forks, and the sticker from the air box. I think I wasted some money on the 10" wind splitter from Harley Davidson, great windscreen, but now I think I'm gonna go with a 10-12" from Freedom Shield (I wanted to try Klock Werks, but they are SOLD OUT). I stand about 6'4" so I ended up pushing my handlebars forward as well (after grinding out the pin on the top bar clamp). Got the bluetooth dongle thingy to connect the iPhone and use CarPlay. I don't think I'll need the bag screws - I don't ever plan to leave my firearm in my bag. If my weapon can't go, I just won't go! 👍🏾
The absolute last change I'm going to make it the seat. I'm considering the Saddleman Road Sofa Extended Reach, but I want to find one in-stock somewhere, put it on my bike and see how it feels first - before I throw $800+ at it.. I rode up to Knoxville this past weekend for Traveling Tall's RTTH4 and that 3.5hr ride wasn't too bad - I just need a seat that pushes me back an inch or 2, and provides a little more cushion. We'll see.
I think the bars look awesome john I would leave them like that. But with tbe new seat coming might change your arm length maybe. Bike looks good

Another great video by the master. I just bought a 2024 Road Glide about 3 days before you and my first big upgrade is..... replacing the plastic transmission dip stick with a metal one. The money they want for these bikes and they put a plastic trans dip stick. More upgrades on order, but now the big one is complete.
P.S. Start using the accessory switch.... other side, LOL
You can also connect a pair of bluetooth headphones and those will link up as a head set and apple car play works both wired and wirelessly.. also can leave the earbud in the case and it still connects.. cost no money to do and most people have a pair of beats

Rolled my bars forward too. They feel perfect now. Ordered a saddleman cf extended reach seat, cant wait to get it. Stock seat good though, just need more legroom

@@jcramirez2772 No, just pull the top piece off and you'll see the pin. You can just snip it off or grind it down.

@@jcramirez2772 no sir I do not, I just went by feel. They need to be pretty snug so the bars don't move, but not crazy tight.
Great video I like the way the bars look did you have to file the stop off the riser clamp or did you make the slit in the handlebar bigger?

I work with a few guys from work who love this bike and they rave about how good it rides. I just think the road glide looks like it has a kitchen sink on the front end. I got the street glide.

I used a Rexing CarPlay adapter from Best Buy it was $80 easy to use works great.
I had did the same thing with my bars and it made a big difference

Good tip about the bars. The demo ride had me thinking, "dang, these are close". I have "knuckle dragger" long arms, being 6'3". They don't factory build for us tall boys. (Add to the list... extended seat, ext reach hwy pegs, KW taller windscreen. CHA CHING)
To save battery just hold the trip button and the bike will turn on in assesories mode and you can work all the radio functions.
What did you end up naming the new bike?
Did you have to cut the pin off the riser clamp to get your bars pushed forward that far? I'm 6'3 and the bars wouldn't go that far so I cut my pin off. Now it's good.

nice bike John.. thanks for the tip.. for bars I would definitely look into the Thrashin setup.. They have one of the nicest kits on the market. I have most of their products on my 22 RGST. Excellent quality.. for the seat, I would also look into the Drag Specialties Predator 3 seat.. has a nice high back and super comfortable day one.. no need to break it in like the saddlemen. I had the Saddlemen but hated in on long rides even after breaking it in.. just could never get it to feel right.. The Predator seat is a huge improvement. Check it out before ordering anything just to compare. Good luck! looking forward to what else you got planned for the bike..

I am going to run a separate USB harness from the battery up to the front for my wireless quad lock phone charger
Try a splitter first.
I use a three-way usb splitter.
1 wireless phone charger.
2 Android auto wireless dongle
3 5gb memory stick filled with mp3.
Dude no need, grab a pair of beats connect them to the hike as a headset leave them in case toss in glove box and you have car play wired or wirelessly 👍🏼

You can go into the settings and assign where the audio gets sent to. In this case, you’ll tell it to send it through the bike’s audio.

Thrashin has clamps that are really nice upper and lower triple clamps etc u should check them out

When I got my 24 Road Glide the dealer threw in an adapter for free which I thought was cool of them.

Sorry if it’s been covered but how did you get your bars to rotate that far forward? I tried and couldn’t because of a pin on the bottom/inside of the tree cover that only lets it rotate so far. I was trying to follow your angle with the forks and couldn’t even get them lined up. Thanks.
