I just hope Yong doesn’t get Trauma like Varian & Hugo are way to late to change that and Nuru also has meteor trauma but most trauma Yong got is self esteem about only able to explode stuff (which is useful) but pray that one character don’t got trauma
Oh my god this is perfect! Your art style is so smooth and atheistically pleasing. It has the obvious inspiration of tts but with a newer and unique take. Varian wanting to prove to Rapunzel that he can go on his own quest and ‘save the day’ like she did. Making his parents proud (cries in the corner). And overall his voice really does match Chris McCarrel. Yong literally being a version of Varian (before his edgy/villain phase) and just wanting to make Varian happy and be a good friend. Nuru being the only brain cell amounts the group of geniuses and genuinely wants to save her kingdom. HUGO HAVING LUKES PART! Because we all know what happens and the betrayal and Hugo being torn between his loyalty to Donella versus his friends! You captured it all really well and this is genuinely one of my favourite VAT7K animatics.

I still havent learned everything about vat7k because i just got into the series, but i know that Hugo at some point betrays the group for smth so i like how you can kinda tell that Hugo is more distant from the group, standing behind everyone. I love the attention to detail in this! Good animation!

Varian is a side character and the first ‘villain’ of the Tangled series that ran from 2017-2019. He had his own show/comic series pitched, but Disney canceled it.
I love everything about VAT7K, except that Varian, a character that was originally portrayed as straight and does not show any romantic affection to boys, was written as gay. I'd be okay if Hugo was scripted as gay since he is new and can be written as whatever the scripter wishes. Disney did not want gay-ness when TTS came out, even though Cassandra was meant to be lesbian. They gave subtle hints of this throughout the series, but it was so small, it got past Disney's censors.
I STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY DISNEY CANCELED VARIAN AND THE SEVEN KINGDOMS!! IT LOOKS SO GOOD!!
