Those are going to look very nice. Yes, those scraps make excellent bluebird houses. I have made several from that same cedar, and after over 5 years out in the weather they are good as new. The bluebirds here love to nest in them.
Mrs K. strikes again. Those are really going to add a nice burst of color on the white back ground. You should at least take one picture of something you have made that didn’t turn out the way you wanted it too, just so us mere mortals don’t feel so bad lol. Looking forward to seeing all the updates in Kentucky whenever you can get back
Very nice...lol, but then that's no surprise you always do great work. Yep I'll be glad when this is all over with so we can get more or less back to normal....stay safe, be careful, take it easy and keep dry.
Mrs Kapper sweet idea. When you pressured washed the deck and siding was you using the electric pressure washer? My gas one failed finally. I have a deck, and garage to clean and paint. Are the electric easy to use and less hassle to winterize.
Thanks Brett! And I used my gas pressure washer, nice to go anywhere with it.i kept it in mr kappers shop because its bigger and so I didn't have to winterize it 😉
Great job with the shutters! Beautiful. 2 questions- how did you mount them to your siding? If I screw them from the front they’ll be visible. Also, I’m planning on staining the wood. Did you apply a water sealer on top of your paint? Like a Thompson’s spray? Thank you!
I can't answer for Sharon but I think she may have screwed them in directly so they are secure and then paint the screws. Not sure what kind of paint she used but I don't think anything was necessary after the paint. Best of luck thanks!
Thanks! I used 1 inch decking screws for the shutters, 1-1/4 will pop through and will use 2-1/2 decking screws into the siding. You might need longer depending on your siding type and number of layers.
Mrs K you are so talented! And Mr K can’t even catch fish!! Love your guys channel! Stay safe !
She sure is, thanks! But someday I will get old Walter again!!!
Thanks Robert. We each have our own talents that work well together!😁 he usually out fishes me, guess I'm just holding the lucky rod for a while!
Very nice touch for the Kapper Kentucky Kountry Kabin.
Thanks Clark. Someday it will be ready for guests!
