    I think learning words with its roots and prefix and suffix will help. Let's say this stone is precious. You see in ending ious
    Usually we see this ending in adjectives so we can understand by looking at these small things .

      Yes, it's another very good strategy! I use it especially often when I'm reading in Greek, another language I'm learning.
