I ordered my Famine yesterday and also have War on preorder. I love how gaunt Famine is and how his cooler colour scheme contrasts with War's red tones. Hoping that the line does well enough so the Paragons of the Neo Apocalypse (the archangel themed human warriors shown on the Neo Apocalypse website) also get made so I can pair my two Harbingers with two of the Paragons (Raphael and Michahel). Oh I do love the way all four horsemen come out. The older weathered looking armor on the characters is beautifully done. The creative concept of the creatures they are riding is outrageously sickly and well done. I would love to own all 4 of them but sadly it is the price that is keeping them out of my reach. Too bad because they would look awesome and compliment well if placed around XM studios Apocalypse. Sweet looking pieces. Thank you for sharing them with us.
they do look awesome. i think the price for War is pretty decent. Pestilence is more expensive but not over the top. you really do have to love the art of it and have enough space at the same time. not a bad choice for something unique.
I think Death is the best out of all four, IMO. Cool design without taking up too much room. But I wonder if the “lantern” is actually supposed to be an hourglass to imply “running out of time” on life. I don’t think I’ll ever love Famine. Could have been better, creatively. That Dark Souls helmet also seems kind of unoriginal. I do like the tapeworm he is riding. At least I’m assuming it is a tapeworm or maybe a giant maggot since both deal with food and starvation/famine.
i think you might be right about the hourglass. overall, this whole line has a very good concept. the whole original story line they created is very interesting to me.
