    Great Videos, now a great question for you:
    My Genmitsu 4030 Prover XL has been working great for 8 months or so, BUT now the z-axis just started studdering when moving up and down during the carve but only on the right 1/3 of the machine.
    What happens when I traverse it either offline or with PC connection both the down and up directions make the z-axis move down or both move it up.
    I thought it was the stepper motor, but when I use the manual twist knob it traverses up and down without issue.
    I also tried wiggling the wires to the stepper motor and traversing up and down with no effect.
    Do you think this could be a ant-backlash nut issue?

      @IDCWoodcraft  4 месяца назад

      keenefx321, It's great that you're troubleshooting the issue with your machine. From your description, it sounds like the problem may indeed be related to the anti-backlash nut on the z-axis. I'd recommend checking the nut for any signs of wear or damage, and potentially considering replacing it to see if that resolves the studdering issue. Also consider reaching out to your machine manufacturer on this one, they will have great troubleshooting tips for your specific machine.

    I watched all the RUclips videos saying to contact them if anyone had questions about bits. I’ve tried by email, website reply, phone for almost 3 weeks without a single response. Nothing. I would say horrible customer service but I wouldn’t know - I don’t think it exists

    Hi Garritt!! Quick question, assuming I've set my XY and move to my hight point to set my z zero can I start my Projekt from there or must I move to my job zero?. A little problem I always have is that I home all to change bits, then go to job zero and if my tool is a little lower than the previous one I gauge into my work piece 😝. Simple really but I forget every time. Thanks for you're video hi from germany

      TheSuperheimwerker, Hallo from the US! As long as you have set your Z zero at the highest point, you can start your project from there if you prefer. Just make sure your toolpath accounts for any differences in tool length. Happy woodworking!

    I only broke a bit once. I do however, regularly cause other problems such as bit slipping due to not enough tension, piece shifting due to not enough tension.

      eitantal726, It sounds like you're dealing with some common challenges in CNC woodworking. Proper tension is crucial to avoid issues like bit slipping and piece shifting. Keep practicing and experimenting with your settings to find the right balance.
