I hope you are looking at the thrift stores for fabric. Shower curtains , regular curtains, tablecloths...all great for projects and much cheaper than the fabric store.
When my oldest son was nine years old, he had an appendix attack on Christmas Eve morning and had to have his taken out that evening. We had family in from Austin, so I went to the family party while my husband spent the night with him. Luckily, he was released from the hospital Christmas morning and we all had Christmas lunch with family.
Watched the rerun -- Wow ! cabinet turned out great ... the dark oil wax just brought the piece to life & highlighted the elegant points -- just like outlining a collage w/ a black line .... Wishing Eliza good health -- take care , Sweet Thing !
I’m 74 and my high school boyfriend wore aqua velva and all the girls loved it. My son and daughter in law give me a hard time when I talk about it. Also Sound of Music made clothes from drapes.😃😃
My appendix was hidden and inflamed and ended up rupturing, while the Surgeon was doing exploratory surgery. I didn’t couldn’t take gym class for six weeks, which I was happy about! Lol I hope she feels better quickly.
What y’all were calling a dresser on WNW is actually a wash stand. It may have originally had a rack attached to the back with a towel bar. It turned out to be a very lovely piece.
I used the same material (from GoodWill) to reupholster 6 dining chairs from a dining set and hutch from an estate sale. The chair seats were an ugly drab green. The set was made to look distressed and was a bargain at 225.00. After cleaning it and the new seats, it sold in 2 weeks. The lovely family I gave a great deal to was so thankful. They paid 650.00. I was happy and they were too. I needed the space back in my booth lol.
You are probably too young to remember the commercial that says “Don’t hate me because I am so beautiful”. That is my favorite thing to say when I get out of bed, hair sticking every where and no makeup. “Don’t hate me because I am so beautiful”. Some people look at me like I am dead serious.
Lol I love that!!! We always sing the beauty pageant song when my girls get up, “isn’t she lovely, isn’t she beautiful?” It’s my favorite my mom sang it to me
I’ll keep Eliza in my prayers... appendicitis is very painful 😢 I had an emergency appendectomy ugh that is not fun. I hope you find out with the cat scan. 💞 Did Zeb say a McCenna saying he said “Gold gives me life” lol I could be way wrong. Thanks for the milk paint tutorial!!! 🥰
I have used my wax pastel bits from sharpening in my resiN and it has made some really cute molds. I will try my chalk pastels. Just have to wear gloves can't stand to touch it.🤪
I missed the live yesterday but wowwowwow! Both these pieces are gorgeous! Fantastic job!! I learn something new each time I see your videos( & I've been watching at least 7 years ) Thanks❣️ How is Eliza doing? 🙏🏼Did she have surgery? Praying all's well..
@JamiRayVintage if the drs didn't do her bloodwork u might want that done. My adult daughter was sick (like flu symptoms )and didn't go in to Dr. She was teaching school through all this..sick but could still get out of bed and go to work. By day 11 she was finally convinced to go. It ended up bloodwork showed she was almost septic & had emergency surgery!! Her appendix had ruptured slowly & was all over inside her. They called her survival a miracle! They also said it's more common in kids to have a slow rupture. Hers was rare as a 25year old. Please continue to check on that. The Dr may be wrong at this early point. So sorry to say all that but it seems important for you to at least hear it. I'm 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼for her!💕
About working with your spouse,. We are together just about 24/7. I have been doing drywall finishing since 1992.. 31 years. Now I also redo furniture, resell on Ebay. We do Estate sale cleanouts, ETC. LOL.. I actually taught my husband how to finish. 😉. We do great working together. Yes once in awhile there may be a bit of an issue, because I'm very picky when it comes to Drywall,. So I do point things out that someone else might not see, I have 4 eyes 🤓. But we both love being together all of the time. Anyways I love wathcing your videos, now I'm going back and seeing the ones from before, like the one 2 years ago where you broke your T.V. OMG.. the frame came out beautiful..
That is so fun. Zeb and I get grumpy sometimes when we’re hot or hungry. But we usually realize it and forgive each other and move on. Working with your spouse is the best ever. There is never too much time with Zeb ❤️. And that was funny when we dropped the tv. Not then. But now we laugh.
My daughter, when in college in Utah, had an unexplained pain on one side of her abdomen and told the doctor she thought she had appendicitis. He told her the pain was on the wrong side for appendicitis and it would go away. It got worse and worse and she went to the ER and they did an X-ray and found “nothing.” When they palpated it there was terrible pain. They did an ultrasound and saw nothing. She was in terrible pain and they though she just wanted pain meds. She said, “ it is not my imagination!” Finally they told her they would have to do an “exploratory.” When the finally opened her up in surgery, they indeed found (and removed) her “oddly shaped” appendix which was about to rupture. It actually burst in the pan they put it in!
Oh that’s a crazy story. I am glad she persisted. Elizas CT came back good. She’s at home resting and allowing her gut to heal. It was enflamed but luckily no surgery needed.
Oh no-you’re not going to paint that beautiful piece-are you? Why is paint on antique made in heaven? Some things need to be painted, but not pieces in nice condition.
@@seablue081 I love this channel and the shop. But I also value vintage and and antiques. I have furniture that I have painted but they usually aren’t antiques.
It was just a little antique. Plus paint can be removed. And antiques have been painted for hundreds of years. My favorite is monets home in France. So many fun painted antiques.
Just watching. Busy week! We Celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary! Praying for Eliza. Love the projects this week!
I always put new batting before recovering. I love the bench!
It was Zeb that mooved the stappler 😂 lovely projects! No matter how many videos I see... there is always one "new"😊❤
I hope you are looking at the thrift stores for fabric. Shower curtains , regular curtains, tablecloths...all great for projects and much cheaper than the fabric store.
Those projects both turned out absolutely beautiful, wish I lived closer!
Wow, great work in that dresser! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Both projects turned out really pretty, I love the finish on both, great WNW!
Ohh Those Turned Out Fantastic!! Sweetie Jane Is 1 Of My Favorites!!❤
I love the 2 color idea
Watching this way after… they both are beautiful

I love the finished look! The dark oil wax really added something special. The marble really looks in great condition as well.
The bench and dresser look amazing 👍 Great video ! I hope Eliza and buttercup feel better ❤️🩹
The bench turned out so nice. Absolutely love the material. The dresser paint color is beautiful. Thanks for sharing your talents.
Love your show

Love the bench
My grandmother had a cabinet like that, I was told it is a commode cabinet. The pot was stored where the door is. Toiletries in the drawers.
That turned out FABULOUS!

I have an oak one, still has mirror and sides.

Loving the dark wax against the Sweetie Jane! Shared!!!!
Looks great!
Loved it so much, I just placed my order for the paint, x-tra bond and oil!
For my four chairs I lightly dry brushed the details with sandy blonde.

She’s ok. No surgery but she’s not feeling great

Can you sift milk paint first, would it help with the not having those lumps in the paint?
What do I think? I think I'm in love with both of your projects!!!
Awww thank you.
Is it ok to use white wax on exterior teak patio furniture?
Question, when you refinish cabinets, you don’t finish the inside? And, you don’t have a problem selling them that way?
Those are bots, fly eggs. I got rid of them on a horse with icthimol. It is a black tar- like situation.
Are the drawer pulls upside down
This is a Craftique piece. Good quality mahogany.
It is Aesthetic Movement and dates between 1890-1910
Have you guys ever turned a trunk into an upholstered bench?
Yes but it’s been a while. I can’t remember if we filmed it.
Jami or Zeb what is the name of the bond you use?

Why would you paint that beautiful piece of furniture. It looks like a piece my mom has
You're new here, right?

Because that is what an artist does.
Oh no-you’re not going to paint that beautiful piece-are you? Why is paint on antique made in heaven? Some things need to be painted, but not pieces in nice condition.
