From my experience i had Finches mixed with Cockatiels because the nest sizes are so different that they don't disturb each other. also finches need long grasses to build nests to feel more comfortable to breed. just an option for you. try a couple pairs in with your cockatiels and see what works better for you.

I came across this and my first thought was when I was a little girl, I came home from school and my grandma informed me that my parakeet ( that actually could say words) said the F word 😵 I had a snart mouth on me when I was a kid.

Hello there. I'm a budgie breeder. And my budgies have just started laying eggs like 2 weeks ago. And I've noticed that they break the eggs two to three days later. What might be the problem or issue. Your help will be highly appreciated
Usually they do it when they're stressed or they feel they don't have enough food and can't fee babies. Either reduce the batch or increase the size of aviary. Also feed more natural food and less packaged mix of seeds. Leafy veggies and good quality seeds are the key.
Interesting how you say you've been told not to mix finches with parakeets. I personally have finches with cockatiels and they are breeding like crazy.
I use to keep budgies miss them egg biding in my last female budgie she had to vet operation 😢 she survived because off ashma vet kept her looked after I I had no more is there features dust in budgies 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢pity
