When i quit the game you would get XP in battlegrounds, and twink was not a thing after that. Yes, you could stop the XP at some dude in Stormwind (i was Human) but then the battlegrounds wouldn’t work, or it would take days for it to even join… is it still a thing, or can you PvP now without getting xp? 💪🏻

I know you don't get xp from world pvp in classic. Not sure about battlegrounds. I doubt it. I can try to que some and let you know later.
