Chicagoland Rails 2024 Edition! Metra’s Electric District And CN’s Homewood Yard

From Wednesday, May 8th to Sunday, May 12th, 2024, a few friends and I spent a few days exploring the Chicagoland area railroads to celebrate our college graduations from our respective universities.
On Friday, 5/10/2024, the second main area that we visited on this day was around the Canadian National Homewood, IL yard along with the Metra electric line also. We were able to capture a few CN freights, the Metra electric trains, the South Shore Commuter Rail and South Shore Freight and the Amtrak Saluki, train 390 with superliners. Overall a nice visit to that part of the area.
