Very nice video today! Sorry I missed the debut, I was out on the boat much of the day Sunday. Today it has been raining all day in Castellammare. Eszter, let me know when you will be here and we can make arrangements if your guests would like a boat ride. Ciap, Paul
I just watched the entire video! What an awesome day in an awesome town. Just to the left of Santa Katrina is a gallery owned by a Spanish artist (Pino) who was a student of Picasso. Absolutely beautiful! Once you get off of Courso Umberto, Taromina is totally different. I don't know any other way to say it, but Eszter is was even better than being there❤
I love your suggestions, for both restaurants and sights to see. The gardens are just divine. Taormina will be on my list to visit. Actually, every place I've seen, I want to visit.
We made reservations for NYE following your video there a few months ago.Over a couple months, our plan is work our way south from Switzerland, Venice… Rome for Christmas then fly into Catania. Previously did the drive from Palermo to to Tuscany. Hopefully we will be celebrating completion of my dual Italian citizenship. My grandfather is from Paolisi and grandmother from nearby Rometta. We love the various regions of Italy, Taormina and Sicily. Thank you for these videos. Love touring the various towns with you.
We were there exactly a year ago. I had my first pasta di Norma in that restaurant based on your recommendation! The biggest delight of my whole month in Italy was stumbling into that amazing garden. The "beehive" arched buildings in the garden transported me into a dreamscape of awe and wonder.
Loved going there, Eszter, Yet another Ancestral home.... It makes me emotional again, So happy for these people visiting their family roots...Thank You for making all this possible❤❤
No! The ancient theater is amazing with a spectacular view. The rest of the village is just one big tourist trap. How do I know this? I live in Sicily and have been there several times to show relatives the theater. 😂
Your videos are captivating Eszter. Taormina is so beautiful 😍 ❤ It's also interesting to hear some history about these places you visit. Thank you as always ❤😊
I would love to find the church where my mother and father were baptized in. I wrote a letter to the Archbishop to see if I can garner any ideas for help. I loved growing up with parents that were from the old country because everything my mother made was homemade....she was an amazing cook. Everyone speaks about her amazing meals.. As a small child, I had a stamp collection, and my mother used to receive letters from the Nuns on a regular basis....and my mother would give me pretty stamps ....and I loved hearing her talk about the Nuns and what t hey were doing....my mother's face would light up when she read their letters....I knew that she really would love to go back to Italy....but could never afford it because we had a large family....7 children... Mama mia

The Public Garden, the Odeon, Naumachie, the fortresses up top, gates of Catania and Messina are also quite impressive :) Where do you live ?
