Ah good to know. I am attempting to install your 4MB kit on the STFM. Bugger to get the original ram off but it is done. Now I need to recheck your instructions- the floating wire part. If I busted the STFM I won't be so disappointed- it was begging me to get more RAM - hence why I got an STe cos that was simple :-)
@exxosuk - uploading video now. It did work. 1M followed by 4M when connection closed. I did smoke the DMA but I think that must have been metal floppy drive shorting some pins. Survived though.
@@stephenhookings1985 I think there a video on my channel somewhere about desoldering ram. But generally cutting the chip out and doing the legs one at a time is simplest:)

@@stephenhookings1985 I think the main chips are pretty robust overall. Stuff like the RAM tends to fail like crazy though.
