Used to put drier lint or sawdust in the cardboard egg cartons then cover them with wax when i was in the scouts. Made for 12 easy fire starters.

A page of newspaper . Drip wax across it in 3 well spaced lines and roll it up fairly tight .

I also use the remnants from tea lights when the wick has burnt out, pop that in the centre of a toilet roll tube with some lint or similar and you've got a good start so long as you pierce a few holes in the centre - light it from the middle.

I use one dry, used teabag. I store my teabags in an old instant coffee bottle, together with some paraffin. So I fish out one paraffin soaked teabag.
Next I store dry pine cones that have fallen on the ground under a pine tree. I store them in a sturdy plastic bag.
I take one pine cone and press the tea bag into one of the cone's openings.
Now I light the teabag, put the cone with the burning tea bag underneath on the ground, and pile on my charcoal or wood.
Note: Pine cones give off a lot of acrid smoke in the beginning. So light your fire where there is good ventilation.
    Voilà!

    That's pretty nifty!!😉
In this crazy, upside down world where things are going way too fast, I love your videos!! Your style of, Hey there, here's some info, One two three, bing bam boom, there ya go, is very cool!
(Although they "could" be a tad longer lol)
    But it's great info!!
I already have t-paper rolls for the squirrel treats, I've got wax for making salves, but now I'll be storing some lint!
    I'm glad I came across
    your channel 😉👍
P.S....I'll be making the grass fertilizer this afternoon!

Thank you for the feedback! Haha, I have a hard time with making them longer, I don't want to over fluff! But I probably end up under doing it too!

Silly me I've only been using a pinch of lint and a single match. I had no idea I needed a toilet paper roll an ounce of Lint a half ounce of wax and a wind proof torch lighter.

Haha, I get you, you don't need too much, but this certainly works and lasts a bit longer.

This method burns for a lot longer and is in a contained, mess free and easily stored and packed flammable container. Much better for damp wood and windy conditions. Could you not have worked that out?@@HarvestHomesteaders

I use a slow combustion heater and use old tea bags for fire starters, first I lay a double sheet of newspaper down, then dip the old tea bags in methylated spirits and space them out on the newspaper and then build kindling above the tea bags and light and your fire is raging in no time at all.

Wax coated string wrapped around a stick covered in construction adhesive. Could wrap a long wood match as well keeping the match head free of wax.

Genuine question: Why the wax? Why not just the lint-stuffed toilet paper roll? Is it reasonable to cut the toilet paper roll in half... two starters-for-one roll?

Wax helps extend the life of the flame a bit, essentially slows it down and allows the burn to catch your kindling for longer. Sure, you could cut it!

Every time someone puts out an interesting video that shows fun, simple and practical ways of doing things, out come all of the smart arses, that want to show how much they know better via the keyboard in their dark basement.🙄😕😂
