Excellent interview. That’s how I feel about where I grew up. It’s such a part of our hearts though, living in the same place for most of your life. I guess we have a difficult time with change, at least the drastic change we’ve seen in our towns, cities, and country. Thank you for sharing this video.
Seattle has the worst record for evictions..very hard to get non paying tenants out close to one year it takes and most times u have to pay the tenant to leave not worth the headache
@@fertilityqueen7880 sadly its like that in Vancouver BC and probably every major city up and down the west coast, into Colorado. The governments have failed us they let investors take over and raise rents putting the squeeze on renters.

Yep that’s right a lot of people borrow money on their house its like a title pawn your car so you have to pay the mortgage again or they will take the house
Here in California we have Prop 13 which limits property tax bills to under 2% per year no matter how much your home has increased in value. Thank God for Prop 13 as my home has tripled in value.

Propety tax is the most discriminating tax out there. Even if people are able to buy a house, they still cannot live there if they don't have a certain income. That prevents people with low income from owning their own home even if they have the funds to pay for it and own it outright.
It sad that property tax is costing more per month than what our mortgage is by alot. I live in Ct and I’m considering retiring next year. But if i want to stay in my home I won’t be able to retire. Our choice is selling and moving into an RV just so me and my wife can afford health care and maybe have a few good years left before we’re really old or continue working till we die just to barely afford our home. Hello ! Where did Amy go ? Did she sale her house and move to another State ? Was she able to buy her another house ? How is she doing did she make ! I hope 🤞 so , hope she is following her dreams and doing well !
Perhaps Amy should try living in the trinities area of Eastern Washington; or Spokane, Washington the cost of home ownership should be lower in those places.
Amy is fortunate & don't feel it! She need to wake up & deal with reality! Places change, Seattle is different from before she was born. Being self-employed & living single is tough, anywhere. Get a roommate(s), steady job with healthcare, work part-time in your business.
I will say if she stop the car payment or at least pay for it and don’t buy another for 10 years or more she will be better and being a little bit more responsable with money because I see a lot of Americans have a rich people living even not making enough money.

This is an example of womens liberation buck up you wanted equality right ,you can rent rooms out and no matter what you can’t run from your problems, they follow you!
The irony is that if she had been wise and used only a portion that new mortgage loan to invest in a rental or added room renovations for rentals she would have landed on her feet. Then been labeled a capitalist, which is what her father became the day he decided to build somthing instead of rent somthing. You can't make YOUR situation better by blaming the world.
