Absolutely saved me here mate - I was ready to send my gear position indicator back for a refund. All works beautifully now largely thanks to you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hi thanks for your answer. Four wires are coming from the gearindicator. Is it possible that green goes to one of the wires of the gear position sensor? Grtz Eric.
@ericdieleman5409 in the video I've listened back and there's only 3 wires being connected in certain positions on the black plug, and I mention that green is not connected. Thanks
Hi, i think i got the same Gear Indicator. I got the same wiring as you but it will not show any gear (always 0) but i did not a test ride yet. Is it necessary to do a test ride first?
I cant remember the programming I know i did for R6 bideo but for this zx10r video im not sure but check over wiring make sure you have it plug correctly with leaving green wire unconnected as shown in video and also if its for later model then i dont know if it will work. This is for Gen 1 2005 ZX10R
Im not sure, best place to find out I'd say is forums, or wiring diagram and if same cables are there find out where they go too and if its same then up to you to try it
@@Grantf69 the gear indicator itself it won't go into "L" to cycle through the gears in order to program it ..I did exactly what you did as well still nothing so I'm just kinda stuck right now with this 😁 appreciate you getting back to me as well thank you
@@koryhewitt5848 does the manual not say what the F means? I don't have the bike anymore so bit difficult to say what's wrong. Maybe could be a fault with indicator itself try a different one and plus make sure its correct on for you year of bike. Plus the wires on the plug itself make sure there right way round
@ericdieleman5409 hi, I would check back over ypur connections and make sure your getting contact and if done the same processing should work, check what F meaning on the manual. Sorry I did this long time my memory not that good I'm afraid but good luck bud

Where’d you get this connector from?
The connector comes with on the harness and should be on your bikes harness too
Do you maybe know if its a bit simular on a zx12r?
Thanks 😎

@@Grantf69 ive intalled 2, on zx9r's by now... super easy, but you do need to order for specific model!! 😊👍🏻
Spot on video. Out of interest, did you have any trouble with it missing gears? Or does it correct itself when you get out and ride it?
I have found the old version and the new version bounce between gears.
Most people dont use the "learn" feature and it helps a bunch
@@snackbags learn feature?
I never had a issue but i did do learning each gear program if i remember rightly
Does yours have a delay? I got the same one and it delays what gear I'm in
I dont think it did, maybe restart the learning program so it re learns your gears. Sorry i couldnt be more help. Good luck
Is this the same as the ones sold in the US amazon for $49.99?
I'm not sure but if wiring loom the same which i guess would be then i dont see why not. Check the description it might say 👍
@@Grantf69 definitely the same color wires and I have the same 04zx10r

Hey I like your video. In having trouble connecting mine I keep getting a "F".
Are you connecting it right? Is that the F on dash or on the indicator itself?
