I have no clue why there are so many thumbs down on this video? This is the best I've ever seen, and I've watched a lot of videos on fishing setups. Great work and attention to detail. Power Pole on a jet ski? I never thought of that, but it makes sense.
I think because it is like buying a fishing boat and then trying to modify it into a sea doo. Why not just buy the sea doo. And when you look at the amount of money invested...just buy a used boat.
Love it from the begining. Once i thought See Doo is the Best, but now i changed my mind this is the Best. Hope a company adopt you Creative ideas. Thanks
Amazing set up. You are so thorough in your planning and execution. Nothing left to chance. Just purchased a 2018 FXHO and live on a canal in SW Florida. Your video(s) are an inspiration and we will start with the second battery, the 1-2 switch and go from there. Many thanks...
Very NICE, well done you should be proud of it. I've been wanting to do one for a very long time. Seeing this one it's now time to go for it. GOD BLESS
Absolutely amazing work! I will say the new sea doo has done something similar with a much deeper stern platform, making the cooler more secure/integrated
I agree with the quality and skill that went into this installation as well as Robby's comments regarding obstruction of the navigation light. Additionally, the all around anchor/navigation light as currently mounted to the arch will not be visible throughout 360 degrees. I needs to be mounted higher to not only avoid being blocked by items which you have mounted to the aft arch, but also to by the operator and passengers. While PWCs are not permitted to operate after sunset in my area, if permitted in your area and you intend to fish at night, then the navigation light and all/around light should be separately switched. The all around should be switched on at night when anchored or drifting, at which time the navigation light should be switched OFF.
I have owned big boats but nothing compares to the fun I have fishing off my ski. Purchase price is way less than any boat. Maintenance is much much easier and cheaper than a boat. Shallow or deep, you can fish it. Storage, repairs and fuel consumption pale in comparison to a boat. Its not for everyone, as you must like being closer to the water, be up for a challenge and enjoy smiling all day long.
Working on my jet ski now... did you build the fishing arch yourself? Trying to find the hardware to fabricate my own...please let me know if know where to find the right hardware..
I kayak fish and always wondered if a wave runner would make for a good fishing vessel vs. purchasing, storage and maintenance of a full size boat. I guess this answers my question, great job man.
WRESTLING & WAVERUNNER FISHING FAMILY I hate to tell you, but PWC's are NOT allowed to operate between dusk and Dawn. It does not matter if it has Navigation lights. This is a federal regulation and supercedes any FL law. If you are operating outside of territorial waters 12nm from shore. It is illegal to operate in reduced visibility. Love the rig but just thought I'd let ya know. 10+ years Coast Guard
Thats a great set up. You've thought of everything & more. I had an issue on my ski where the rack fell off as my turn buckle (same as yours) snapped. I swapped to a stainless steel, endless loop ratchet strap & also a stainless steel safety chain & shackles.
Wow, I had no idea they made those kinds of accessories for PWC's. I knew folks fished from them but you're certainly taking it to a completely different level. The only question that was in my mind was the stability thing but you answered that one. It's way beyond anything I'd ever do but it looks very cool.
Very nice setup! Could you please do a video to show how to connect all the electrical wires between many items such as the 2 batteries /dual battery switch / spotlights / bilge pump/ fish finder / navigation lights / fuses and switches + battery tester Thank you very much for your time and efforts!
This is also my question. I’ve been told you can’t operate at night because the operator can fall off. If adding lights makes it legal after sunset, I’m adding lots of lights. Ocean and inland lakes should have the same rules?
Nice I would recommend switching the carabineer that holds the cooler on to something stronger. Key ring clips like yours are only rated for mabey 100 pounds. You don't want that thing flying off!
So did I miss where you put the live well? And next time I work on my boat I'm wearing scrubs cuz surgery Hahahaha. But seriously you put some real work into this boat.
I would get a Blue Seas 7601 so that you can charge the accessory battery while running the engine. The stator would charge both batteries and then switch off when your using the accessory so you don’t run down the start engine battery
How much weight did all that stuff add when you are out and fully loaded with gear and gas and everything , and does it make a noticeable difference in range draft or other performance areas? I know you said stability stayed good. Cool set ups y'all, definitely considering trading in my boat for a jet ski or seadoo build now :)
I was kind of OK with everything until I saw the grill!! LMAO. I don't know if this is a cross between Inspector Gadget and Larry the Cable Guy trying to fit everything they have onto whatever they have that moves! I got images in my head of two people trying to balance and fit on this thing while one is trying to grill and the other wrestling with a fish! I LOVE IT!!! Hahahaha. So... this begs the question; why not just a small boat like a small rib or bass boat?

@@dpbaynon Appreciate the feedback. I do not see anyone fabricating an outside/outer cooler attachment holder to frame arches to utilize the standup rear deck space for offshore/inshore fishing. You would have to extend out further the arches but you could utilize that room much better it would seem. So many options, you gotta love it. Keep videos coming bro, thanks.

Thanks for the support. You hit the nail on the head, these WaveRunners are so easy to dock (zip it up onto a float), maintain, clean, insure, and run. I have owned big boats and this is the way to go. Its not for everyone but it works great for me. I love being closer to the water, fishing with my kids or running to the sandbar for a grill out. We enjoy every second while on the ski. There are a few things I would do differently and will share in an upcoming video. Best to you.
What is the bluish grease all over the bolts etc on the nozzle/steering linkage? I use my waverunner in salt water too and spray everything down with CRC 6-56 after, but should I be greasing some spots too? Thanks for the great video!!!
Hello Greight, the grease is OMC Triple Guard Grease and is very sticky. It outlasts the sprays and if applied a couple times a year, it will prevent salt water corrosion. Thanks for watching and your kind words.
When routing your transducer wire... You went through the water spout tell tale and then into the wet storage area... 1) What did you do with the water spout line? Did you re rout it outside of the rack? 2) Did you move the engine flush fitting or leave it in the factory wet storage area?
The hose for the spout was removed. The transducer is routed under the rear rack and enters the WaveRunner directly next to the flush fitting. I did not move the flush fitting. Thanks for watching and best of luck with your build. Send pictures.
