"Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God! How incomprehensible are his judgments and how unsearchable his ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?" - Romans 11:33
We have to understand that we are human and divine at the same time. The higher self reside within us, we are the higher self, We are becoming what we call God, Light etc. We are immortal beings, flesh or body, it is a temporary vehicle, that we use have to experiences in the physical world, We all are pure consciousness, which is God, and we can create at will, things positive or negative. When we leave this body, we will experience, what we believed while living in this physical world.
@sofearnot its like reading a textbook, elementary school stuff. if you read and really take in what your are reading from a textbook, you become knowledgeable in that area. if you speak about a topic from any textbook with the knowledge of what you are saying, does that then mean that you shared a bunk with that scholar?
“The disciples came to him and asked, ‘Why do you speak to the people in parables?’ And Jesus said: “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.” - Matthew 13:10-11 On "True Wisdom" the bible says: "We speak a message of wisdom among the mature...not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words." - 1 Cor. 1:6 - 13
I'd rather live in a world of people who know the truth, rather than a world of people deluded by lies. Lieing to people to comfort them is abuse of the mind, though they will never know it. It is saddening to see. It is the real cruelty.
I can tell by ALL of your skeptical comments that you doubt anything other then this reality. Ive seen hundreds of NDE experiences documented by medical professionals. Is everyone lying in your opinion? lol
All of our current explanations on the "after life" are really just random guesses that originated in ancient times. There has never been any proof of an after life, and It's most likely that we will never know for sure. If that is the case, It's most likely because there is no after life. But yes, you are right, we may never know.
@mrtadreamer "He means just what he says" - Have you ever watched a movie with a friend and disagreed on the interpretation of it? Well, the same goes for interpreting the Bible and how what Jesus says is understood. If what Jesus says really was so clear and straight forward, we wouldn't have so many different Christian churches and denominations; would we now?
now now guys, don't take risk by being arrogant and ignorant ok? remember it's eternal heaven or hell after we die. you can ignore it, call it stupid, skeptic, hide from it, but it will certainly happen one day, The good news is God so loves you that through Jesus Christ you can be saved.
Did you ever read past John 14:6? You cannot take "through me" out of its context: "If you really knew me, you would know my father as well." - John 14:7 "Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words I say to you are not just my words. Rather it is the Father living in me." - John 14:10 "The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you." - John 14:17
Merriam-Websters Dictionary: ‘Fundamentalism is the literal interpretation of religion and a Fundamentalist is someone who believes that the Bible is the actual word of God, to be taken literally word for word.’ As history has been blood stained in the name of God, fundamentalism is something achieved by force through having power or authority over somebody else through the arrogant claim to hold the 'only truth.' As pride fundamentalism is a deadly sin.
@mrtadreamer These are not the direct words of Jesus but Johns testimony of what Jesus said. AND, reading this one line literally is also taking the whole bible out of context. As a mature Christian you can't stop at John 14:6 because in 14:7 Jesus tells us what 'through me' means: 'If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well.' Through me means 'the Father in' Jesus that is in us 'as well.' This is why the Bible says: 'the Kingdom is within' and 'God dwells in you.'
We have to discard all these beliefs, that all religions impose on us, we all are unique. Hell and heaven do not exist, it only exist on your belief System. They are state of consciousness. The word "Heaven or Hell" is a state of mind. You can experience heaven right here and Now. Jesus said: Heaven lo, is not there and here,. He is talking that is not on any locality. And then he said. "The Kingdom of Heaven is within You. and once you realize it, no body can take away from you. We are Gods.
...and if anyone is reading and would like to get enlightened about Christian fundamentalism, then google "Divi filius," which is Latin for "son of god" and used by Roman Emperors, including Augustus at the time of Jesus. When the bible says Jesus is the only son of God, it is because he is in competition with the Emperor for authority. Also google the "Arian Conflict" or "Council at Nicene" and you will get insights on fundamentalism and how Rome, not Jesus, created the Roman Catholic Church.
@mrtadreamer That is silly and does not make sense: what exactly does "by Him" mean? Think about it: how would this work? Most moderate and sane Christians believe that it is through the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of God that we find God. The bible says that the Kingdom is within and Jesus tells us that the Father is in us as well. This is our way to God: through the Holy Spirit or Spirit of God that we all have within. Jesus points this truth out - but his name or person does not do anything.
@roby6roby6 AMEN. This is not a real NDE, it was his frontal lobe firing and showing him what he believes to deal with it's demise. Not all NDEs are real.
@Galopa95 Jesus was simply saying that heaven is not of this world or realm, not that it doesnt exist. and referring heaven to being inside of you he was speaking symbolically, not literally. once you have the holy spirit in your heart and your destined for heaven, nothing will change that, no one can take the holy spirit out of your heart. next time, please dont perverse the bible by quoting Jesus out of context.
@GamingLogics Jesus is one path to heaven but not the only path. In NDE research people and even atheists have heaven like experiences in all cultures and religions, so heaven is universal and God inclusive. However, even if you read the bible you can find that the path to heaven is not through Jesus literally but through the Holy Spirit - or the Kingdom within you. Jesus as the only path or through him literally is religious fundamentalism - and has little to do with heaven or God.
Now, Christian fundamentalists are right at some level that the name, person or thought of Jesus can invoke the Holy Spirit/Spirit of God within us. When they think of Jesus they think of the Spirit - and as such Jesus inspires the Spirit as in John 14:7. But to say that this hand holding immature path is the only path to God, and use this argument against people who have a Direct path to God through the Spirit, is not only spiritually immature but seriously arrogant. Fundamentalism is a sin.
...so when you say that "He means what he says" in relation to John 14:6 or your quote from Acts, there is wide disagreement on how to interpret this among Christians: literally, symbolically, metaphorically, etc. I would do a little research online to find out how many Christians are actually fundamentalists like you. I think its about 35% in the US and much less in Europe, who has learned its lessons about the evil of fundamentalism from the Crusades, the Inquisition, etc.
'through Me' Since Jesus is embodiment of pure love, the phrase means 'through love' . Sadly hardcore fundamentalists are the last to understand this since they cherrypick the human prejudice in the Bible as their law, while ignoring the central tenets. Love your neighbour, take the beam out of your own eye and judge not, lest ye be judged. I wonder whose life reviews/day of judgement is going to most painful, those who have dedicated their lives to love or thos who have dedicated them to judgement and condemnation?
@mrtadreamer You are not very honest are you? Of course, Christians agree on certain things but you conveniently forgot to mention your opening line: "I am the way, the truth and the life, NO ONE comes to the Father except though Me." That "NO ONE" can reach God without Jesus is called Christian fundamentalism, and while popular in the US, the majority and most main stream Christians DO NOT read this line literally and actually love their neighbors in other religions by accepting their faiths.
@mrtadreamer You are absolutely clueless: you killed Jesus, my friend. And you are killing him today all over again. It was Hebrew fundamentalism that killed Jesus and today you are killing him with Christian fundamentalism. Different time and religion but same poison. "We speak a message of wisdom among the mature...not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words." - 1 Cor. 1:6 - 13
@mrtadreamer So, now the truth comes out. If main line churches are "apostatizing" and "falling away from the truth of God's word," then Christian churches don't really agree; do they now? You are a dishonest and slippery fundamentalist, who only cares about spreading your intolerant and narrow interpretation of the bible. This point has been proven and this conversation is over. Find an End Times video and go there instead: you will get a lot less exposure of your false faith there.

Not necessarily, but believing a lie will just get you further from the truth. The goal is to be as close to truth as possible.
How long did it seem you were there? How much time actually passed back here? David

@mrtadreamer And like I said, there is no agreement on what He says between Catholics, Protestants, Evangelicals, etc.
