Yakuza 1 (PS2) - Vs. Shimano

I kinda forgot about this channel for a while, until a nice fella asked me to upload this specific fight, and luckily, I had this particular boss fight in a stream archive.
Shimano here is really really easy in comparison to his version in Kiwami, mostly because he lacks that bullshit recovery aura.

If you haven't put any levels into Technique, this fight can actually be somewhat challenging because it's hard to break through Shimano's guard without a decent combo. One thing I noticed in the Kiwami remake, you have a hell of a lot less space to move around in this fight, which makes it difficult considering Shimano in that version is basically Mr. Takedown and you never wanted to fight him in a small alley.

He was surprisingly easy in the original and I'm playing it on hard. In Kiwami he does have Mr.Shakedowns move set but he is a lot less forgiving in that one and you're right you have very little space to work with so when he does his charge you have to beat the hell outta him after that

In Kiwami this fight pissed me off: my first game, you barely get anytime to prepare nor does the game adequately warn you, this is like the second or third chapter, and it's after a long gauntlet. Shimano spent three consecutive minutes trying to grab me, I just hit and ran until he died. At least I now know what "Hanase" means

The bad thing about Kiwami, is the fact that they locked those specific heat actions to interrupt their healing and it doesn't tell you that you NEED them to stop them.
The fight ain't that hard, just annoying and drags a lot.
