    Learn Persian with Majid
    A lesson on Yalda night,
Last night there was a celebration in Iran and some other Persian language countries: ''Yalda night celebration''
We celebrate the longest night of the year which is the end of the autumn. Based on this occasion I have prepared a lesson for you which is probably not for a beginner
but at least you can learn some new important Persian words and phrases.
Happy Yalda to you all! Yalda Mobarak!
Ideas and questions are welcomed, feel free to leave some comments.

This was interesting and I learnt some new words. At 4.37' 'dore ham jam mish___ ' is this a 4 word 'chunk' that should just be learned as meaning come together, or can you give clarification on why 'dore ham' is included? I would have expected 'jam shodan' to translate as 'get together', and I don't think I've come across dore before.

'dore ham' is just an extra word there, we can also simply say 'jam mishim', however many use also 'dore ham' (which literally means around each other) together with the verb, it is more pouplar I should say, though.

This is why this channel is awesome. Majid gives us phrases or sentences that regular people of Iran uses daily and not those that you will only find written in books

Mersi. Shabe Yalda mobaarak! I found out that Iranians in the Southern Hemisphere are celebrate the same date because it is the longest night in Iran.
