Thanks for profiling Sequoia NP. It's often overshadowed by Yosemite. I often tell people that Sequoia/Kings Canyon is a great alternative to the often overcrowded Yosemite. Those giant sequoias are awe inspiring. You don't really comprehend how big they are until you're standing in front of one and to think they're over 1,000 years old... wow!
You're right, what big trees did we lose from logging and how big were they? It's sad to think about that.

I live in Canada and have wanted to see the Red Woods and Sequoia trees since watching Disney's, The Gnome Mobile, as a little girl. It would be fascinating to see these giants in person. It makes me sad and angry to hear some of them get cut down. They've survived from fires and landslides, floods, but cut down by greedy men.

Yo Carter, Carter here. Cool new series! If you run out of parks, there are plenty of amazing National shore lines to cover too. Cough, cough, picture rocks In Michigan for example.

Love this park. Love 3 rivers outside it. We lived in socal for years and would go up there for snow for years. You can't appreciate it until you see it, just like the grand canyon. Pictures just don't do it justice
