Hello, thank you for the guide. May I ask, have you gotten DXWnd OG working on Windows 11? It used to work for me on Windows 10, but no longer work on WIndows 11. I copied DXWnd OG files and pasted them in IAF main folder, started to start DXWIND.exe, nothing hapened.
Hi. I've done as you instructed but still many times the game kicks me out in the middle and the the picture inside the cockpit is broken and very lagy. I'm using Windows 11.
@@thejetfighter Thank you for your fast reaction, but tried it already. Sorry, forgot to mention. IAF runs already with the tackleberry patch, but only in 640x480. I hope that dxwind could raise it up to 1280x960. Is this blurry picture normal? It looks like there is a filter going on.
@@orelt06 I never got it running with dxwind. I fully installed the game in Win11 and then used Tackleberry´s patch for Janes USAF and IAF. The game runs flawlessly so far, but only in 640x480. Well, i am old enough to manage these graphics, my first Sim was Gunship C64 in 1986.
@thejetfighter yeah... the launcher.exe dxwnd.exe and dxwnd.dll ... also when i saw it didn't work i tried to just move everything it but it didnt work either

Did you open it as administrator? Also, you have to use the one from the link on my page, not the one from the DXWnd website.
You are truly amazing! Two questions: do i have to run the game using dxwin every time? And do the intro videos play when you open the game?
Yes, you have to run the game from dxwin, that's the downside. The intro videos do not play unfortunately :-(

You have to run it "As Administrator".

Weird, DirectX is not necessary on Win10/11.

@@orelt06 Try uninstalling and reinstalling everything. But this time execute everything as administrator,even the game install.
