- mario kart 8 deluxe for the nintendo switch had 6 waves of dlc through the bcp ( booster course pass ) but it had problems. i thought some of the choices were rather questionable so i made the lineup i would've chosen based on the tracks in tour

I would like to clarify that while I used the thumbnail in the video, I had not actually watched HDRookie's video on the subject prior to making this, even though there were some similarities between our lineups (such as moving Riverside to Wave 1 and having nearly the exact same Lucky Cat Cup)

I know here were some questionable omissions, Peach Gardens, Kalimari Desert, and Maple treeway just to name a few. But overall I feel like this is a bit heavy ended, but better to end with a bang.
This is probably the only “fixing the BCP” video I mostly agree with. But there are a few things I want to point out.
Firstly, the way the BCP worked was that courses from early in Tour’s life would be in the early waves and courses from later in its life would be in the later waves, the city courses obviously exempt.
For example, Coconut Mall came to Tour in 2022 and was released in Wave 1. Kalimari Desert came to Tour in 2020 and was released in Wave 2. Basically, every course in the first three waves were in Tour from 2019-2022. Meanwhile courses from Waves 4-6 were released in Tour from 2022-2023 with a few exceptions such as Sunset Wilds (probably due to its fan favourite status, but I digress). The point is Dino Dino Jungle has been in Tour since the *very* beginning and is a complete rip from MK7’s version. DK Mountain on the other hand was released in late 2022 and had a complete glow up, a glow up so big, it would be a waste to leave it in Tour.
2. Pipeline being in Wave 3 is a bit weird for me. I mean sure Sundae and Island appeared in 8DX before they did in Tour, but that was only by a month max. Pipeline appearing in Wave 3 would be half a year before its Tour debut. It’s just absurd. And if any wave was going to have 2 Tour nitros, Wave 6 would probably be the best one for that.
But that’s really about it. I appreciate keeping all 21 Tour nitros in. Most other people would get rid of most of them, which completely defeats the entire purpose of the BCP.
I get it but as I stated in the video, I'm not factoring in dates to the equation, it would be too much research for what was really just a fun activity I wanted to do after seeing others do it

I actually prefer this list and selection slightly more than the actual one! We still got a very great lineup and selection though
I don't understand why you moved Rock Rock Mountain out of the Rock Cup but overall I love this!!!
The cup names don't really matter, I kept them the same for simplicity's sake but if we went into detail I would make the cup I moved RRM to be the rock cup (and I would also change Sydney's cup to the Boomerang Cup), but that would've just been a bit of an annoying amount of effort for something so minor

How would you replace the Rock Cup with?
Also, you CAN swapped Madrid Drive and Rome Avanti spot since Madrid was finished in 2022.
I honestly could lose every single tour track for like 4 actually mario kart ones if I wanna play in a real city im gonna play forza or some shit

Why fixing? It's fine as it is.
Some tracks in the BCP are rather, mediocre.
Toad Circuit, SNES Mario Circuit 3, etc (personally I don’t care for toad circuit but mc3 is literally ripped from mkwii with very little if any changes)
