    *Use Natural Cocoa Powder for this recipe.* Dutch process cocoa will cause the cookie to turn brown/maroon 😢 If you only have Dutch process cocoa powder at home, put 2 tbsp instead of 1/4 cup. Happy Baking! 😊

    Just wondering what's the reason you use the white vinegar?

      White vinegar actually reacts with the cocoa powder and gives it that real red velvet flavor!

      Hi!!! Thank you so much for trying them out! I just relied on Google translate and I think you're asking if you can put fillings in the cookies? If so, the best filling for red velvet cookies is cream cheese! You'll have to freeze the cream cheese filling first before putting them in the cookie dough to make it easier. I actually have plans on making a version of this in the future 😊 Thank you again for watching and for taking the time and effort to try my recipe. Happy baking! 🤗🥰

    Hi. I stored the cookies in the freezer and thawed them as instructed. My cookies overspread, where did I go wrong?

    • @TheAwkwardKitchenPH
      @TheAwkwardKitchenPH  Год назад

      Oh no 😢 Did you thaw them until the cookies were at room temperature? They should still be cold but soft enough to put dimples on them, as shown in the video. If the cookies are warm they will spread when you bake them. I guess I should've included that information as well... 😢 Also, weighing the ingredients correctly, and using fresh baking soda and baking powder to make sure the cookies leaven/rise. Hopefully this helps and sorry the cookies didn't come out as expected 🥺

    • @alainquinajon3714
      @alainquinajon3714 10 месяцев назад

      Yes the cookies are still cold and I measured the right amount of ingredients. The baking soda and baking powder are also fresh. The cookies are still overspreading. What do I do?

    • @TheAwkwardKitchenPH
      @TheAwkwardKitchenPH  Год назад

      Hi! The brands I usually go for butter are Lupark, Emborg and Anchor. I sometimes use margarine (buttercup, dari creme, etc.) if nagtitipid or wala nang butter sa bahay at tamad na ko lumabas 🤣 Goods naman lasa if you don't mind using it. For chocolates, Goya and Dutche is my go to if the budget's tight saka they're available in any groceries so it's a very accessible brand 😊 But if not naman, I like using Lindt, Hershey's, Auro, Callebaut, Malagos and Beryl's. Ung sa eggs I'm not sure sa exact weight ng yolk and egg alone. But with shell, a large egg should weigh around 60-64 grams. I hope this helps!

      @@TheAwkwardKitchenPH Thank you for the help! Im having a hard time finding the best flavor for my cookies as it all tastes the same even with a lot of tested recipes 😵 anw, i love the quality of your videos ❤️👌

    • @TheAwkwardKitchenPH

      Glad to help! I love your passion for cookies! ☺️ I agree. Cookies and even cakes do taste the same, it mostly depend on the quality of ingredients and techniques. I find that using quality chocolate and vanilla extract usually makes the difference in taste. I also forgot to mention Kerrygold butter. That one has high fat content, and my cookies do turn out tasting richer. I don't use it often lang because it's pricier than the three brands I mentioned, and sometimes it's not available in my local grocery store 😊 Goodluck in your cookie journey! 🤗
