Love the singer, love the song, love the saint. Greetings from St. Anthony of Padua parish, Buffalo NY!

I absolutely love this. My favorite German singer performing my favorite excerpt from Des Knaben Wunderhorn. Thank you so much for having posted this!

"The sermon has pleased them, but they remain the same as before." -- searched this and your video is the top result Karen. :))

Splendid in every way! Hope St. Anthony is amused (though a bit sad that a sermon may satisfy the fishes (and people) but "sie bleiben wie allen." DFD I think captures that feeling at the end!)

Great, very whimsical . and Brigitte, in green on screen does an equally good job with the previous song in the cycle Lob des hohen Verstandes

There's something fishy about this lieder.

“Lieder” is the plural form of “Lied,” which I think it the word you intend to say. Nevertheless, it’s certainly very fischy, this lied.
