Stay positive, when I was in my twenties I had a landlord that forced me to get rid of my reptiles I had at the time and thought I would never keep reptiles again. Fast forward now I'm in my mid forties and I put myself in a position financially where I can keep reptiles again without a landlord telling me no. So stay positive, that's an awesome cat I'm sure u can makes some good videos on.
I unfortunately experienced severe depression-to the point I barely had enough energy to get out of bed. So I felt they needed to be in a better place, which allowed me to work on myself-while they were also able to receive the love and care they deserve. Plus, my Apt def wouldn’t have been cool with it and it literally stressed me out everyday-worrying if for some reason they’d see them during a maintenance call or something like that. Overall, all of it combined was too much for me mentally.
@@Blkhippiee doesn't make sense to me. So the apartment are OK with you having a dog and a cat in there which are running free? Lol just be honest man, you got bored and passed them off.
@@FantaLiteBrav yeah I agree with that. Most if not all apartments allow caged pets. If they allow cats and dogs they definitely allow reptiles/rodents/birds/fish. When you have depression I can understand it is debilitating. But snakes are not cats or dogs. They don't require care that's anywhere near as extensive as cats or dogs. If you were depressed I'd think the dog would have been a smarter decision to rehome especially having a German shepherd. And bengal cats need more care and interaction than most other breeds of cats. With snakes you can literally ignore them for days on end and if they have water you're good. Just feed them once a week, mist them and make sure they have water. If you lost interest in them to the point where you're treating them like a house plant that's not something the snake will care or mind about whatsoever. They do not need attention like most other pets. Saying you were too depressed to have snakes, then turning around and getting a Bengal cat and german shepherd sounds like a lame excuse tbh.
Yeah I totally get ya! I have a German Shepherd that I constantly have to keep an eye on with the kitten. But Calicos are dope too! Sounds like you have a nice lil collection going yourself. 🤟🏾
@@Blkhippiee yeah I have a cat two dogs a big one and a small one. Four parakeets, three leopard geckos, two crested geckos, a blue tongue skink, a corn snake, a florida king snake and a pixie frog. I enjoy keeping all of them except for the dogs honestly. I’m bipolar and whenever I’m depressed or manic it helps that the reptiles and birds don’t really need daily attention. It gives me time to get myself together.
wow .what happened to your beautiful snakes ?!wow .sad but if it's best for you that s what matters .they in good hands .OK n Bengal is pretty , they a active cat !.I miss your snakes I got to say...I love all animals
Yeah I def miss my snakes--no doubt, but it was the best decision--given the cards I was dealt. But in the end, I'd say it all worked out. I was able to learn and teach others about one of my favorite animals in the world. The amount of comments--with people saying how they now own a boa or a snake, has def uplifted my spirits when I was feeling down. But so much has happened since I last posted--can't wait to share all the new stuff!
Thanks for keeping the snake videos, they are very helpful with my juvenile boa! ;)
Also where’d you get your Bengal?! That’s the only cat I want
I got her from a local breeder, definitely an awesome cat that’s had been getting along great with my German Shepherd.
Glad to see you cuzzin I’m happy you pushed thru my guy ✊🏾💯

So after watching the video I still have to ask, what was the reason for getting rid of your snakes?

Wow! I was here for the snakes, but I like bengal cats too. I would love to have one, but my calico cat is bad enough around reptiles and birds.
