    Nice to see 3613 getting some attention. If you didn't know, it was just donated to the museum by BNSF, and was repainted/restored into it's H1 livery.

      When was she donated? She looks great. Very nice of BNSF to donate her

      @@backonpro5679 I think she was donated in early 2023, when she was located on the Seattle deadline. The unit was repainted and repaired on the Albany and Eastern Railroad, then shipped up back to Portland pretty recently. It was nice of BNSF to donate her, the last end cab switcher in freight service on their railroad, but I think they wanted a BNSF locomotive at the museum for publicity reasons, because the Union Pacific donated their UP 96 to the museum. I think this because part of the donation was that the locomotive would be in a BNSF paint scheme.

    Great video it’s a shame that 4449 can’t leave the property or do any excursions at this time because the Oregon pacific railroad the museum operates on can’t allow the capacity of 4449s weight on the rails because she is too heavy for the railroad the museum operates on however she is capable of running on BNSF trackage because she is still certified to run by the FRA but if she were to return to the mainline and pull excursions she would have to be equipped with Positive Train Control or PTC for short but if she were to travel to a different railroad on BNSF a diesel would have to be placed in the front of 4449 as an escort locomotive to travel to other railroads to pull excursions if that were to ever happen because it’s really a shame shes sitting in the heritage center and not operational and I do hope there is some sort of excursion in the future!

      They are broken. That's why they're off the engine.

    'Couldn't help but notice, but does Doyle have any plans to run 4449 in the near future? It 'kinda looks like it since she's placed under the smoke "jack" and all she needs is some water and a close approximate to "Bunker C" oil in her tender and she's ready to roll.

    • @OxnardRailfanner69
      @OxnardRailfanner69  4 месяца назад

      I don’t really know when she will run again let’s hope in near future

    • @michaelcolucci5734
      @michaelcolucci5734 4 месяца назад

      Here’s the thing 4449 is ready to go she is still operable but will be sitting dormant until an opportunity has risen to pull excursions and the only way she can run excursions on the railroad is that she would have to be outfitted with positive train control so she is up to modern railroad standards because now she is technically landlocked and without that piece of technology she can’t go anywhere.
