There still is no comparison to Hutchence's vocal power and consistency. He utterly owned the vocal range and control, live and in studio. Creative, nuanced. He's a top 8 all-time rock vocalist, no doubt about it. Maybe top 5.
Maybe new age top 5, but never top 5 Rock. I agree they belong in HOF, they were huge in 80's and 90's, and I'm not even that big of a fan, although I do really like 3 or 4 of their songs. I can't help but think there might have been fowl play in his death, by maybe his ladies ex..he was a very jealous man and a huge pompous ass!
x was such a phenomenal album...it was tough for them to follow up kick because that album was massive(deservedly so), but x was a worthy follow up. the songs still sound great today, and I listen to it just as much as any of their albums today if not more.
I saw the documentary 'Mystify: Michael Hutchence' a few days ago and never knew the story was so sad. Such an lively, sensitive and inspirational personality. Amazing music too!
@@studio_caro the involvement of Bob geldof is verified. Family interviews confirm that Michael was murdered. I believe this. No, this should not have happened.
Great singer, tight band...looks like they're having a blast in all their videos like they genuinely like each other. Finally giving them a serious listen after all these years and I've concluded they are a very creative band, truly unique sound. Just love their music. It's hard to be sad when you listen to them.
What a great song! INXS's "Bitter Tears" is a true treasure of his musical repertoire. The lyrics are so moving and profound that it often leaves me with a lump in my throat. The way Michael Hutchence sings every word with such emotion and passion is just stunning. The music is also spectacular. The electric guitar and drums create an exciting rhythm that makes you nod and feel the energy of the song. And the synth section adds an extra layer of depth and complexity to the music, making it even more fascinating.
One of their finest, most underrated efforts(and my personal favorite INXS song next to The Gift). Also, arguably Michael Hutchence's greatest recorded vocal.
Agree with that. This would have been a completely different band and energy if there had been a different lineup, for each of them brought themselves fully and uniquely, and that's what makes them so special, it's who they are to me ✨
Three weeks ago, a friend of mine heard this song for the first time. Asked me enthusiastically if this is one of the songs of the new album of the Rolling Stones. Not a strange comment, I could imagine Mick Jagger singing this. The best songs of INXS are IMHO in the same league as the best songs of The Stones.
This music video looks like it could have been made yesterday, absolutely timeless, so fresh looking. Michael is mesmerising looking into the camera, great moves , fave INXS song, drummer is amazing, Legends of a Rock band.
X is one of my favorite albums and Chris Thomas is an amazing producer. He also produced KICK and Thieves, two of my favorite INXS albums. This isn't my in my top five but, it's special to me for reasons of my own. I agree the lyrics are suburb but, I had no idea it was loved so intensely by so many people. One of the great things about INXS is that they rarely make a bad song. Like Led Zeppelin, their catalog is vast and varied and you're not in much danger of hearing the same song twice.
One of their BEST in my opinion. Musicianship, song writing and lyrics are on point! RIP Michael. Loved you guys since the first time I saw you play at the Hollywood Palladium in 1985-86!
On Fire!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the BEST way to describe the Complete AWSEOMNESS of this band!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their music ALWAYS makes me feel ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is probably my favourite rocker of theirs. When you start putting horns in the rhythm section, it usually becomes awesome. Just a ripping tune, and Mike at his charismatic best.
Michael was the most beautiful handsome guy I’ve ever seen in my life .Not only that he was a great musician.. ( his music I will play forever) RIP my dream of my prince x
So true we all think we’re doing no wrong. The reality is we’re along for the ride of our own reality combined with others. The philosophical consideration of the collective we all create💜 INXS forever 😘
This group was specific in many ways, that's the reason that we all miss Mick and his energy which came out from each of their songs. This song is typical INXS, powerful and, strong - real stuff. The legend is probably looking at us from somewhere questioning if this is best that we can do today? I miss this guy.
I've been listening to INXS since the early 80's when they were considered New Wave in the USA. The first song I heard on the radio from them was The One Thing and I was and still am completely hooked.
Don,t think there has ever been a band so creative with the music they produced, and a real pleasure to see that closeness with one another. They seem totally natural with each other. Music is great and has got longevity, which has been proven. Michael,s voice is totally spot on, and almost feel like he,s still with us.... and those eyes send a shiver.......!!!!!!
One of my favourites for sure...the music is brilliant, the deep cutting lyrics and the phenomenal voice: SO powerful, SO emotional ...Michael Hutchence was a ONE OF A KIND guy, his talent, sensual dynamic performances and his dazzling charisma aswell as being a fantastic songwriter....NO ONE could ever replace him, forever loved, forever missed !!
Wonderful performance!! My favourite band in the world!! Big hug to Andrew, Tim, Jon, Kirk and Gary. Michael Kelland Hutchence always in my heart. Wonderful voice!!
Back in the 80's I was introduced to INXS by girl I was dating. I think we we're both 15 and just kids. Both so young and naive, but thinking we were so grown up. I'll tell ya sometimes I really miss those days. Thanks Heather ❤
I honestly think Heaven needs a great list of performers as well that’s why these people are taken so young similar to the great people we lose in our everyday lives
Amazing band grew up to these guys Was very fortunate to see them live 6 times Such a loss losing Michael but as with so many bands he was the soul and couldn’t be replaced

Michael Hutchence was one of the best rock frontmen and singers ever. RIP.
yes i agree , and bon scott too
Not one. The Best. The One and Only. We might not see another like him this side of life.
It's true m2K,
The passion is off the charts.
Michael was the ultimate front man. He had such charisma, a terrific voice. He was beautiful. RIP 💙🖤

Brilliant Talented Gorgeous Man Amazing Artist💜💜💜
And INXS belongs in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It's inconceivable to me that they are not.
Exactly! That voice is hypnotic
Maybe new age top 5, but never top 5 Rock. I agree they belong in HOF, they were huge in 80's and 90's, and I'm not even that big of a fan, although I do really like 3 or 4 of their songs. Number 1 bruh sorry
INXS doesn't get the credit they deserve for their talent as songwriters (Michael and Andrew) and musicians.
INXS was my childhood Michael hutchence was my hero and he gave a shy kid like me through his motivation and the power and confidence to be myself
Band was pure fire. And michael was insane. Insane moves, insane voice insane carisma. Those cats were outta this box
Yeah totally
Michael was handsome🔥
Those cats definitely were outta and inta much box then, especially hutch
He was unique!❤

For me there is no comparison to Michaels sensuality and raw passion and talent. Best of all time.
I saw the documentary 'Mystify: Michael Hutchence' a few days ago and never knew the story was so sad. Such an lively, sensitive and inspirational personality. Amazing music too!
Same here. Didn’t know about the brain injury until watching the doc. There was no one like Hutchence.
He didn't commit suicide
Me too! I was DISGUSTED at how he was treated during the last year or so of his life. And people think he didn't kill himself?! Oh come on!
@@naeru5810 still a sad story, no?

I wonder if Michael would like Australia today.

Probably not@@AndreOuellette5150
Sublime vocals. Michael's voice just got better and stronger with age. He has a real bluesy edge to his voice. Miss him so much xx

His old gf 😂 when they hear the music.
They are my happy place
It helps when 3 of them are brothers.
Bravo!
Brotherly love
Bitter Tears is my Fav INXS song , anyone elses?
And Elegantly Wasted a close second, so many good songs.
It’s my favourite of theirs. It’s quite raw and am pretty sure a lot of us can relate
one of my favorites... after The Gift. ;)
One of their best! No doubt!
My favourite INXS song is All Around.
Taste it, the strangest party, disappear and never tear us apart
beauty choices even if brutal lyrics. what bout Mystify and Hear that sound?
Michael still looks so timeless sportin those skinny jeans and t-shirt.
Performance, looks, the band, ..." the voice,"...the songs ..it's about PERFECTION. R.I.P. MICHAEL

Hi Linda,hope you’re okay ?
There is no comparison to Michael's voice and that drummer and that sax and every song I just love.
Jon was a really tight drummer he really kept the beat going.
That band!!! So tight and locked down… and also had the ability to improvise so well on the spot. Just unforgettable.
INXS was my first rock concert. Michael was one of the finest. Bet he'd still be rocking it today.

ACDC gets remembered as the best band from Australia. I think INXS was way more talented.
TOTALLY agree!
🐈⬛💨 I don't like ACDC.
Michael was a top frontman with a voice & charisma hard to match. Talent ran deep in the entire band.🔥
Agree with that. This would have been a completely different band and energy if there had been a different lineup, for each of them brought themselves fully and uniquely, and that's what makes them so special, it's who they are to me ✨
I normally like to read the comments on videos of music I love. But I just can't tear my eyes away from anything with Michael Hutchence in it.
