In my opinion, Kobe’s 62 pts in THREE QUARTERS against a Championship-bound Mavs squad, outscoring them with bum Lakers squad is even greater than his 81 pt game. That performance hasn’t been touched since in my eyes. One man bullied an entire Championship-bound team without any other real talent on his side; I watched it live and the minute he split 2 premiere defenders and pulled off a wraparound for the sweet layup you could see their spirits crushed. The way he played, he would most likely have passed 81 if he played the 4th quarter instead of sitting it out…and it’s not inconceivable that he would have broken Wilt’s 100 if they went to OT. That was god-level. Not taking anything away from Donovan or Luka, also great performances.

And in that same 2005 season that Kobe single handedly outscored them, the Mavs held one of the best records in the league and featured several great defenders and at least two all-stars (Howard and Dirk). I see the potential point of confusion though, it’s been tweaked.

Don't forget devin booker 70 point game on 4-24-2017... booker was 20 years at that time.. & he was the youngest ever to score 60 or 70 in a game..51 came from the 2nd half..70pts.8reb.6ast.3stl.1blk

2 surprises: 1) don t understand how the Jazz leave Mitchell
    2) Toni Kukoc, 3- time champion with Bulls , also HOF member, but his number '7' not retired by the franchise

besides that free throw violation, that free throw was still insanely clutch. luka doncic also had a free throw clutch leading to ot in his 60 point game funny enough, although im not sure if his was also a violation gotta check it out again

What a terrible missed call at the end by the refs, you can't miss a free throw shooter going into the paint to get a rebound before the ball touches the rim. Such BS officiating.
The 71 points by Mitchell still nuts, but that was a terrible call that should have given the Bulls the W.

I understand the scoring in the modern NBA is significantly different, but scoring 71 fucking points in the world premiere basketball league is fucking crazy. Loved his smile at the FT knowing he was about to make history. Shoutout Spida man.
