Hi Barkha! You may send email to the monastery's office but no guarantee that they may respond. You may stay inside monastery if they allow you and if rooms are vacant. Activities like you may attend morning prayers and etc as a visitor.
You may have to take permission from the head monk of Thiksey to allow you to wear their attire and live with other monks in their rooms to experience monk's life. I stayed 9 days closely moving with monks attending all the programs and eating almost their food but stayed in a near by guest house.

800 per day in chamba guest house inside monastery. Food not included. Airtel Postpaid 4G works like 2G.
