Input Coupling is DC with that Hantek 1008. You need a BNC 1:1 AC Coupler to measure it correctly. Hantek does not have that feature. There are 6 diodes within an alternator, 3 positive and 3 negative. This test does NOT test a battery as a defect.

I have never replaced a battery as result of having ripple voltage over 0.5 volts. I test the battery and if it's good, I give it a full charge and replace the alternator.

Easy to use a ceramic cap for AC coupling.

Check your grounds.
There are so many tests that DSO can do in a matter of seconds but interpretation is the thing.
