For "basic" phone use....calls, email, surfing....the 6s is the charm. My Mom uses it a a daily driver.....she loves it and has no issue with battery life.
You can also do hardcore gaming on the 6s+ as well.

@@X1GenKaneShiroXyeah! Its pretty good. I used it one time and it was mid. (Because i bought it off a Cex shop) so the battery performance was at 72, and it was in bad condition. But hey it was cheap! I used to play games on it and it was very good, it just got hot a bit but hey what can you expect from a 8 year old phone. Not that you care anyway but just wanted to say my experience.

All apps in the App Store still work and get updates. It actually IS still supported by apple and it still gets iOS 15 security updates. I use it daily and it handles everything I do like a champ. Social media watching videos listening to music taking pictures 4K video and so much more.

By watching all of your recent videos, I’m starting to realize that I'm having this kind of problem with my IPad, which I use to watch lots of videos (like yours) when I'm only supposed to use it for school. I have my last exam of the year tomorrow, and after that I'll try to transfer everything to my phone to not use my IPad the entire summer (except for when I travel and have nothing to do for 10 hours in a car). I definitely think that this will help to go less on a screen during summer and do something of my life and I want to thank you because I know that this is now a battle between me and myself and that it will work if I do what you say. I had an IPhone SE 1st Gen before but it suddenly stopped working, so I bought an IPhone SE 2020 1 year ago because it seemed like the best phone for the price that would last the longest possible. Just like you, I could have bought the latest iPhone because I had the money for it, but I knew that I had everything that I truly needed with an iPhone SE 2020. I thought about buying an iPhone 6s or 7, but I had in mind that an iPhone SE 2020 would last years longer for only a bit more money. I'm starting to realize that buying this phone instead of a more recent big iPhones like the 12 was a really good idea, because the smaller screen definitely makes me go less on it. I honestly think that the bare minimum of a phone to use in 2023 is the iPhone 6 or se 1st Gen with at least 32gb, because I think that the iPhone 5s is at a limit where you might spend even more time on this phone than an IPhone 6s because of how slow it is. Your idea of using an older phone is very good and I'll definitely talk about that to my friends when I see them going too much on their phone or talking about upgrading their phone!

I like that there are people like Techno Eclipse using a 6s+ even in 2023. If you purchase it in refurbished or used condition then you got it for a bargain. Everybody seems to always want to upgrade and go to an iPhone 15 with all the bells & whistles along with it despite the insane cost of owning one. Y’all should never underestimate the power of downgrading. And most importantly, don’t be greedy!

I still have an Asus ZenFone Selfie smartphone with Android 6.0 installed! It still works like an charm, except it's battery lasts for 2 hours only, while my new Android smartphone lasts whole day. I can still use RUclips without any problem, still has most fratures I really need, & it has Google Drive, Google Photos, Google Chrome 106, & RUclips version 17.34!
I use it at home. Doing this will preserve my new smartphone's battery life. I won't be using my new smartphone that much at home than my old smartphone. My Mom uses iPhone 6s at home!
You cannot say it's for basic tasks only, it can handle much more. But with 3GB RAM & 16 GB storage this thing might go out of space so I decided to install an MicroSD card in it, backup my photos to Google Photos & documents to Google Drive!
I got an iPhone 14 Pro and I got another 6S as a backup device for nostalgic reasons but I replaced the battery and used it for a while...I am shocked at how great this phone still is. It works flawlessly. It's not slow at ALL
I have one that a friend gave me , 92% battery health, the battery was replaced around 6 months ago. It does everything I need from a phone . Will make use of it till it becomes unusable

The way to get off the phone .. buy one with 20min screen on battery life 😂 that makes sure that you will not touch it to safe battery for the important calls 😂

How does your battery drain that much? Maybe you got a bad battery. One time I bought a battery replacement and it didn’t even turn on. It was a bad battery.
I use the 6s as my daily driver replaced the battery so it has 100% capacity

If I replace the battery and it’s last as long as yours does I’ll be extremely happy with that. My phone now is rly bad it needs a replacement like bad phone is 71% but is worse than that it literally drops ten percent and dies within an hour if I’m watching something on it so I need a replacement baaad lol .

Iam using my iphone 6s either, with 54% battery health😂 but the problem is the battery and charging, the battery just drops in a blink. The microphone has problem although I cleaned it. The camera is soooo low quality. I think its cool how it works still. The keyboard is also annoying😬 sometimes it types for itself. I will change it soon but I will really miss it because it worked perfectly all these years.

It is the best iphone I had ever seen . Just do daily stuff ,whatsapp ,insta and yt it easily handled it. It erase your phone addiction 😂. Nowadays people spend hours on screen ,I think they should down grade their iphones/android to an old phones . BTW (2016 era was awesome ❤)

my 6s still works just fine, the biggest issue is the battery. i can still play games like COD or Apex without issues on this thing.
