I got some tips while watching this video. I'm studying the Italian language, so I need to focus on reading, writing, listening, and speaking. to become a more fluent speaker.
Awesome video Shea. You so right! Language learning is a marathon. I also understand a lot more in chinese to today, than last year and it has been two years I have been studying whereas German took me one year. It made me quite frustrated with Chinese but I hung in there and now I can speak fully in chinese with my italki teacher or language partner. I hope everything is going on good for you eventhough there is lockdown in Cali.
Grazie a te! Ho comprato il tuo libro e mi ha aiutato moltissimo! Spero verrai presto in Italia così magari io ti insegno l'italiano e tu l'inglese :D Grazie Mille!!!!
This is immensely helpful, I'm starting my new semester next week and feel so out of place with my study schedule. I've written everything you mentioned and can't wait to give it a try. Will definitely check out your work book!

Grazie Shea! I love your channel and your way of thinking and doing things. Yes, I am super organized, love languages and I want to someday retire in Italy. Maybe someday will find each other over there and share a cafe macchiato while sitting in a piazza. Buonasera amica!
I've made the same comment about how learning a language is not a sprint but a marathon. I've just recently started to learn italian and I feel like I'm in the first mile of this marathon. Part of me wants to be fluent in italian Now but the reality is I'll get there with time effort and patience. You are so polished calming and soothing I'm guessing you're a teacher. Grazie for all the great ideas you are a pleasure to learn from.
AHHH girl I've been so behind need to catch up with your awesome videos!!! I'm so so proud of you girl you're such an inspiration! I love how practical this is, like most days you don't have time to do like 5 activities per day, but little by little is manageable but still effective! These will be so useful for me when I finally decide to whip out my high-school-level french that I've literally completely forgotten LOL. So so helpful!!!
Great tips here, I started learning Spanish during the lockdown, I was learning really fast at the beginning and enjoying but since I returned back to work and things slowly getting back to normal, my work rate has dropped a lot :-(
I totally feel that. You just have to find a way of studying that works for you and don’t be concerned about how fast you’re learning. It’s ok to just do a little here and there to stick with it!
thank you for sharing this, this video help me study the language I want to learn, I already watched many videos but this is the one that helped me a lot.
Thank you so much for compiling such a well organized workbook. I'm encouraged to set new milestones that will cause me to reach beyond my current level and what I'm learning in class.
I will sound like a total creep so please don't misunderstand, but I opened the video and I saw you and literally gasped because your eyes are so beautiful (low key jealous! ^.^). Also really nice video. I learn japanese since several years now on my own and while I'm able to understand a lot (since I really just learned by watching japanese tv shows for a while now), I struggle with Grammar, Kanji and all that good stuff. I ordered proper books for study, created a learning planner recently and videos like yours really motivate me to keep going. :)
Awww haha thank you! I appreciate the compliment. Wow, Japanese seems tough but that's great that you've been studying by yourself. keep it up and I hope I can continue to motivate you!
Sorry! Yes I tried to encourage people to take at least one day off from studying. Thanks for buying though! I appreciate it and hope you find it helpful!
I dunno if this will help you but if anyone needs more tips Try havw conversations with yourself The reason why is because you will ask yourself casual questions and make up response with the words you already know to make new sense and also the stuff you will be asking yourself us likely going to be the things other people will ask you for example "how are you " "why did you learn (language" Tip 2 Play a new video game in your target language Playing a video game give you a goal to reach the end, when you play a game that is in your target language you will concentrate and be focused on the talking, pronunciation and reading in the target language DON'T REPLAY A GAME the reason why I wouldn't recommend replaying a game in ur your target language is because you would memorize the words and it would just be a memory game then compliment I hope those tips can help anyone :)
I really liked your video thank you for being so kind and sharing your knowledge with us, with your videos I learn how to learn a language and also I am practicing my english. Grettings from Guatemala
These are amazing tips! Thank you for making this video. You addressed one of my stumbling blocks, comparing my skills to others' skills. I envy people who are motivated by those who are "better," at things than them, because for me personally, that demotivates me 😅. So instead of stalking ways to be "fluent" in a language quickly, I'm just learning to trust God, trust myself, and my skills. Because we can do it! Everyone has a different learning pace! I need that on my wall and drilled into my brain! 😂
Hey Shea! What will be your tips for someone learning a language that has a different script, other than english? Like an English speaker learning arabic or korean Or hindi or something of the sort
Hmm I wish I could provide a better answer, but I’m really not sure since I have never learned languages with a different alphabet! That seems tough but I feel like writing out the symbols with their pronunciation and the repetition of that would be helpful?
Holy crap the last time I was this organized was never. I'm very organic with it. When I'm feeling very motivated to study and learn, I'll spend a couple of hours every day focusing on using the language in various ways. And if my motivation drops, I just stop using the language, almost completely. And I've found that fi I've truly acquired the language by using it naturally and organically, this works very well. I've gone some months without using it at all, and when I picked it back up again when my motivation returned, it felt like I picked it right where I had left off. I hadn't lost any of my proficiency at all. I started spanish probably in...early 2017 maybe?? I've been to Ecuador and Cost Rica. And I'm about to cross over into advanced territory. And my ultimate goal is to live and work in Latin America before going to study at university in Spain. And then France. Because I want to learn French too. So of course that means I want to not only become proficient, but also master the languages. And so far I've made som good progress toward that. It's very interesting to see someone do it so opposite to my natural approach...what even IS structure anyway????
we think the same way beautiful.. sometimes i feel like i'm not learning of anything that i've been studying in inglish language but when a native spaekers talk everytime when i watch a video. i really really understand what their sayin about.. yeah i really understand tour point.. it is a very helpful tips

Grazie Shea! I love your channel and your way of thinking and doing things. Yes, I am super organized, love languages and I want to someday retire in Italy. Maybe someday will find each other over there and share a cafe macchiato while sitting in a piazza. Buonasera amica!
That would be so cool! We do sound very similar haha. Good luck with your studies!
Good advice to study New language like english.tank you very much
Thank you Shea, gonna go use this for my New Year's goals 🙏
Perfect! Happy New Year!

Hello I'm salwa from Egypt and I really enjoy watching your channel ❤️
Thanks so much!
TU PUEDES!
Shea Jordan thank Shea, you are right. Some I do get too concerned with the pace I’m learning lol
Alexia Caceda Gracias Alexia por la motivación. I will keep going 😂🙏🏾💪🏾
Sat Sri Akaal! So glad I found this channel! I am learning punjabi 🙂

Awesome! I’m glad you liked it! Good luck studying ☺️
Thanks for the tips , just in case you didnt hear it today you llook amazing stay healthy
My routine gets thrown off and I end up not keeping up with the language learning when the motivation is put into other areas.
Thank you so much for compiling such a well organized workbook. I'm encouraged to set new milestones that will cause me to reach beyond my current level and what I'm learning in class.
You’re welcome! Thanks so much for watching!
Just purchased the workbook. I love it! Minor issue, but one day is missing from the weekly schedule (Sunday)
Sorry! Yes I tried to encourage people to take at least one day off from studying. Thanks for buying though! I appreciate it and hope you find it helpful!
Thank you so much Shea
thank you so much i'm from morocco i like english very well
great video, It helped me with my learning
Yay happy to hear that!
Thank you for your advice and ideas, all of those ideas are so useful and amazing to implement in the daily routine
I love this! I’m creating my routine now and seeing what works best. I’m working on Spanish
I dunno if this will help you but if anyone needs more tips
Try havw conversations with yourself
The reason why is because you will ask yourself casual questions and make up response with the words you already know to make new sense and also the stuff you will be asking yourself us likely going to be the things other people will ask you for example "how are you " "why did you learn (language"
Tip 2
Play a new video game in your target language
Playing a video game give you a goal to reach the end, when you play a game that is in your target language you will concentrate and be focused on the talking, pronunciation and reading in the target language
DON'T REPLAY A GAME the reason why I wouldn't recommend replaying a game in ur your target language is because you would memorize the words and it would just be a memory game then compliment
I hope those tips can help anyone :)
Super great tips! Thanks for writing this out ☺️
I really liked your video thank you for being so kind and sharing your knowledge with us, with your videos I learn how to learn a language and also I am practicing my english. Grettings from Guatemala
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Brilliant. Thank you
I was here for the premiere.
Exactly! You are on your own path. :) That's a great mindset to be in. Just focus on your own progress!
Thank you for your time
Excelente video, saludos desde Perú🇵🇪

Good recommendation. Thank you so much! ☺️☺️
Good explanation of how to create a language study routine at home. Thanks so much for sharing this video.
That a good idea for you! I have to creating my language for my idea!
This was a very helpful video!
So happy to hear that! 💕
