Why? In any gang/mob show or movie there's always one family member who's just not cut out for the lifestyle but forces themselves to be in it. Finn is that member.
@@imdaki9906What did you guys expect? They basically pampered him his whole life, then when he tries to prove himself it's either met with mockery or condemnation. He kept trying to please people that were never really gonna respect him. He took to Billy because Billy gave him that respect and validation he craved. Finn's downfall is the fault of the family
Michael was supposed to die and pol was supposed to be the final showdown, not the other way around... it is a shame, but they didn't want to ruin the story by winging it I guess
Finn was far too young to be involved the gangster lifestyle. Tommy's a stoic narcissist 80% of the time while Arthur and John were just two walking balls of violent testosterone. One of the worst environments for a boy to grow up in.
I don't think Tommy was a narcissist at all. He was very much aware of how wrong what he was doing was. He held no illusion of grandeur about how much of a great person he was and how because of that others ought to worship and serve him. He didn't need people's constant approval and praises in order to feel good about himself, and the only moment he let someone else's opinion of him change his behavior was when he was with Grace and when he started his political career. He also had a very strong personality and kept his core values as a character, even though some evolved with the time, but that's just growing up for you. He also took accountability for what he was doing and he apologized when he felt he crossed a line. He was honest about being a monster and he wasn't looking to be anything else except the best family member he could be without compromising his principles and beliefs. He wasn't a narcissist. He simply was a man who decided to do bad things.
Honestly bothers me how many viewers don’t realize the extent to which Arthur, Tommy, and John were responsible for Finn leaving the family. For years he was interested and invested in the family business but they constantly kept him out. They had good reason with his age, but it’s only natural that after a decade of being pushed away he eventually chose his friend over his blood.
@@garrisongiovbro he was born into a shitty family of incredibly shitty and vile people, they dragged him into their shit and even when they were rich enough to live a comfy life they kept pushing. Honestly bother me when somebody defense a betrayal because of what? Keep him safe and out of the shady life of your? Because of your father did the dirty work to feed you. Then he should have let you do the same. Or else you have all the right to hate him and leave the family? I dont see any logic here. Beside. Finn didnt leave. He casted out. The only thing he learn after all these years is whiskey. Bitch. And trying to prove his muscle. But he dont have it yet. Thomas also already maximize the illegal business and try to step out from it. Finn didnt understand and dont trying to. He go with isaiah to the fight, never know that the reason why he never get killed is because there is a shelby in his fkn name. The exile is not base on his mistake on leaking information. He casted out because he shot at the brother. Thats the betrayal he did. Shot duke. Ok maybe he is accept duke as a blinder. But the shot he pull at isaiah is too much. Finn would’ve been an interesting potential character to build if they had actually done it. I don’t hate what he ultimately became, because I think it adds an interesting foil towards the end of the series that they have to deal with, without murdering Finn which was the obvious and easiest solution.
