I must admit that, even in my 60s, I struggle with seeing no as a loving answer. I think this is because of childhood experience. When I was denied the one thing I wanted most dearly, it wasn’t because there wasn’t enough money, or because “no” was best for me; it was because it didn’t suit my parents’ plans. I understand the logic of God saying no, in love, because it is best, but only on a head level. I still feel that “no” could be given, arbitrarily, because (as then) my desires don’t really matter & it doesn’t suit God’s (“parents”) plan.
Heavenly Father, thank You for this new day and the chance to grow closer to You. I ask for Your forgiveness for the ways I have fallen short. Cleanse my heart and renew my spirit, so I may walk in Your light. Help me to forgive those who have wronged me, just as You have forgiven me, and to let go of any bitterness or hurt. When God says no is to protect you and he knows what is best for you. He have better plan for you and you will see clearly why the no were said.
