Hi, thanks for the 3 part videos on this very useful. However, I am having trouble with the below. Is there any chance you able to help? My physical P button next to the DSG gear selector now only activates parking sensors without Park pilot - only beeping without any visualization on head unit, same goes for "auto activation" of park pilot when approaching obstacle in front. To get any visualization, I need to trigger RVC by going into reverse. The P button does turn off the reverse camera and visual aid that pops up in reverse but not activate it. Any help would be much appreciated.
I believe that's parktronic coding. module 10 or 76 (depends on how made year), long coding, look for visual OPS and enable it. This will configure the parktronic module to send signal to infotainment with visualization request when the parktronic is used. Cars with just rear sensors had this option disabled by default if I recall correctly.

Hey. Mógłbyś sprawdzić czy działają Ci czujniki automatyczne przód? Plus jak wciskasz przycisk czujników to odpala Ci się kamera zamiast przednie czujniki. Wmg mnie nie powinno tak być. Kamera.poeinna się tylko odpalać na wstecznym biegu?
Gdyby była możliwość zmiany jak działa ten przycisk, to dalej bym to chciał mieć ustawione tak jak teraz. Wyzwalanie kamery przyciskiem jest przydatne, bo używam kamery nie tylko jak cofam.

I will get the car only in a couple of weeks but have the VIN . I don't find anything about reverse camera in the vehicle specs.
Check the unit part number. You can find it in settings or in hidden menu. If the part number ends with 819 or 820, unit will not support rear view camera.

That's how the RVC-HIGH works if it's coded correctly. If you have RVC-Low (static green lines) or wrong coding, you will not see video feed when not in reverse.
Good day Mr-Fix Love the channel and your videos have helped me alot in my retrofit mib2 unit from Mib 1 unit. But I need some guildence, after my retrofit and my testing I noticed the following not working. -dcc (was working on my mib1 unit and I have it installed from the factory.) -rear view camera, the camera pops out the hatch but the mib2 unit doesn't show the backup camera image only a full pcd sensor screen. Can you point me in the right direction? I'm guessing it's just a coding issue. As all the hardware was OEM from the factory. Thank you.

But if I press button for park sensors they only beeps, no cam image as you, if I put “R” then I have image and can switch on MIB display for “car with sensor lines”. I believe you have different camera. Please let me know. Thanks
@@mrfixpl as i know 5Q0 is for HB model and not variant (5Q9). As far as I checked, there is no camera in the higline version for the variant? Is the camera calibrated ok, or is there any deviation. I assume the camera was mounted on the HB model?

This RVC camera does not need any coding or config and it can switch the screem to parking mode which similar to your video 5:45. However, the screen backgroud is black and cannot show the camera image. Do you have any idea 819 does not support the camera as hardware or firmware limitation? Thx
Thats cheap , in my country for a hatchback 350€ used one , but I learned from you that on variant doesnt fit .. show us the end project , everything that you done on that golf you did it OEM and thats cool 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

I have a low line camera, can I just swap to the high line camera and code it in or do I need to feed new wires through the car?
You have to swap the camera and add the can-bus wires from the camera to the head unit
Swap camera, add wires, and change coding in vehicle.

Hatchback and Variant badge shape is different. It will fit but it will not look right.

Yes. You need to connect just the main unit. Check part 2 with details.

@@mrfixpl Where did you get it? looks like the highline golf 7 versions are more expensive.
@@noz3m it was a one-time offer. High-line version is more expensive, but you can get low-line and replace the camera unit that's inside.
