You know, this goes very, massively, incredible astronomically, INCOMPREHENSIVELY well with the song "left behind" by slipknot, and yes, i played my itunes to it instead.
@allhailfoamy1 Yeah people tend to like things more if they can relate to them.
Never watched highurashi i'll have to check it out and I liked Death Note although at times it had a phony feeling to it just because of the characteristics of the main characters.
Monster is another Anime I like though the story line isn't too dark but it's still really good.

why is it that unit one is the most bad ass unit of all time but is piloted by the biggest wuss in the entire anime

luca_56 Yes, and it's not only that. Shinji was the only one able to pilot unit one from the beginning, since the soul of his mother rests within the eva, same with asuka and the soul of her mother (only with rei it's a different story)

that doesn't mean anything people will like what they like but anyone who's seen NGE knows that the tone of this song doesn't fit with the original series thats not just this song that goes for all types of rock songs but hey thats just my opinion
Yeah I agree. Its too upbeat in my opinion. It doesn't fit the anime's darker undertone. Something like "Monster - Skillet" or "Monster - Disturbed" fits a lot better. Hell "I am Machine - Three Days Grace" works well. I could argue "Vengeful One - Disturbed" could work. But yeah a lot of rock songs don't work the song "Fate" works wonderfully.
